Ugh . . . one of SE Ohio's best gets in trouble

Post by warrnwarriorfan »

Just saw this on ESPN.com. Hate to hear about it as I'm a WVU alumnus, and thought twice about posting it, but it's definitely not a secret now. WVU player Cam Thoroughman (formerly of Portsmouth)is in some hot water.

Unless Huggins wants to run the same ship as Rodriguez he needs to boot both from the team pronto! I guess the real bad part about this is a local is involved. A true shame... 13-6 will live forever....Hail To Pitt!

The post read he was from Portsmouth. Which is probably true. Not that any wrongdoers ever came from Portsmouth.

Again, noone said he attended Portsmouth High school. A very defensive poster mentioned Portsmouth High School. Here's hoping that this young man gets another chance somewhere and straightens up.

The ESPN article says he's from Portsmouth, I didn't know what high school he attended I just knew that he was a SE Ohio kid. Didn't mean to start a tussle. I hope the best for the kid. I'm sure he's not the first college kid to drink at a baseball game, but it sounds like he and Mazzulla both acted like idiots when they got caught. That behavior is the thing that's really got them in hot water.

Rock Hill is "Ironton" if the kid lives at an ironton mailing address. Which , many many Rock Hill high school students do. "Our teams?" How many "teams" do you have?

If it lasts as long as your last "bear market rally," I'd say I will enjoy it for 4 years.

Nowhere in the article does it say he is from Portsmouth HS.

9 months and counting since the October 2007 highs.

Watch for a run for gold increasing from $900 to $1500 in the next 6 months.

Pitt 13, WVU 6, knocking WVU from the BCS Championship Game, and ultimately leading to Rodriguez's departure to the maize and blue. As a staunch WVU-hater, that was a real highlight of last year's football season. :-D :-D

Is Ironton immune to this problem...not that any former Ironton football players had trouble at Ohio State this century?

First of all, you have to put kids in major universities to even discuss this, and Ironton has had a few at OSU. The more a school sends, the better the odds are of having one hits some bumps in the road. Hope Cam gets this straightened out, these kids underestimate the value of a "FREE' education .

So does anyone have any idea what the judicial punishment could be expected to be?
