NY at Logan, TONIGHT!!!!
The Buckeyes come into the Reservation tonight in this battle of close neighbors on 33. Logan looks to go 3-0 vs the TVC and continues to play better. Can the Bucks come together tonight and get the win? What say you?

Re: NY at Logan, TONIGHT!!!!
Two coaching icons going at it Jay Kline and Greg Koons. The amount of basketball knowlege that will be one the sideline tonight is staggering. Anyone who wants to learn something about coaching basketball should attend this game and plan on taking notes.
Re: NY at Logan, TONIGHT!!!!
Eaglesrock couldn't agree with you more. But I think Koons has the upper hand on Kline. The def. that he has the kids at Logan playing will have superior advantage on NY. So I'll give the edge to Logan on this one. Can't wait till the OSHAA gets off their butts and puts Koons where he should be HALL OF FAME BABY. If you know of someone to contact on this issue it is long past due. Figure this is Koons last year at Logan as he has taken this program to a new level and it's just a matter of time before a D-1 college comes a callin
Re: NY at Logan, TONIGHT!!!!
... a good game tonight at Jim's Gym (heck if you take the whistle away from those officials tonight it would have been even better imo- but I digress) ... this one was tight from the get go - both teams struggled to find the bottom of the net from the field, throw in a combined 15 TOs in the opening quarter and you end up with quarter breaks of Logan 10 NY 8 after one / Logan 26 vs Nelsonville York 26 at intermission ... The Purple turned up the defense as soon as they hit floor in the 3rd forcing 2 quick Nelsonville York TOs & 2 quick transition buckets to start the period - forcing NY to call a time out at the 7:30 mark ... Nelsonville York committed 6 TOs in the qtr. leading to 4 LHS transition baskets, Logan's defense held NY to but one field goal in the 3rd, with the Orange and White unable to dent the scoreboard until the 3:33 mark with Casey Cox hitting 2 FTs ... Logan 45 Nelsonville 31 after three ... Coach Kline has to be proud of his boyz as NY turned up the defense themselves holding LHS to 3 fgs in the 4th as Logan looked to slow it up, take the air out of the ball ... NY turned it into a game with 5:19 to play as Kyle Moore turned a Logan turnover into 2 points cutting the LHS lead to 8 points, 50-42 ... both teams traded "punches" with NY keeping the pressure on - Daniel Kline drilled a 3 ball with 1:46 left on the clock making the score 51-46 Logan ... a steal by Kline had the 6-4 senior loose in the lane for 2 more points - BUT no, a very questionable traveling call waved off the 2 points ...what would have been a 2 possession game and 4 pt Logan lead remained 6 points ... from that point on it was a parade of Logan FTs to finish out the game (Chiefs were 11/15 from the line in the 4th) ... Logan 62 Nelsonville York 48 a final ...
... much closer game than the score indicated at the end ... TO's did NY in as they turned the ball over 20 times on the night vs 14 for the Chiefs ... Logan remained atop the TVC, improving their TVC record to 3-0 on the season (beating Vinton County, Athens and Nelsonville York) ... Great job by the Logan Student Section tonight !!!!! might be the biggest turnout I have seen for awhile!!! led by the infamous Taylor Reichling & Co ... 32 minutes of support for the Purple by the student body - has to make the team feel good ... I would like to say thank you to Nelsonville York head coach Jay Kline ... what a class act ... Coach Kline took a moment during his teams warmups to venture into the Cheap Seats to find/shake hands with pfloyd - Coach what you said means a lot to me - thank you ... best of luck to your Nelsonville York squad the rest of the season ...

Told you so. My last post couldn't have been clearer. Koons has them playing some great TVC ball. Logan stands at 3-0 in the TVC with 2 to go. Looking like a league title can be had with both games to be played at home. Great job Koondogger

Seems to me - all the posts like these appear to throw the players under the bus - and I've seen a lot of them.trubbguru wrote:Told you so. My last post couldn't have been clearer. 93Bulldog, I dont think guru is throwing the kids under the bus. I think he is simply stating what a great job koons is doing getting the kids to play hard on the defensive end of the floor against TVC teams. I was not at the game last night but I heard they played real hard and really shut down a high powered Nelsonville offense.

STOP IT! The sarcasim is so thick, I may drown in it. The constant ridicule of one coach and the program from you two is more than one normal person should have to read. Logan played well last night as a team and got a much needed win. Let them enjoy it.

If they continue to win there games vs the TVC we will be champions of the TVC, All kidding aside good job Coach Helber and the kids! Maybe the football team might play like the basketball team last night!
Re: NY at Logan, TONIGHT!!!!
Well said moon thats the same thing I was implying but no someone is always taking it a different way. Trying to give credit where credit is due. Heck who knows I may be Koons agent. Got my inside from being at the game. Cant tell from the local rag if they played well or not. All the stories there look like they have played well in all games.
