Which Eastern? If it is Eastern Pike, there's already a thread.

If it's the Eastern Eagles there is one word....LOADED. They will win the TVC Hocking and give some
of the Ohio division teams they play a run.

They were not loaded last year. I don't see them being "loaded" this year. They will be tough but if the Lynch boy is having an off nite the whole team will struggle.

The Lynch boy had leg surgery. He is a great ball player and I hope he is able to return, but they have several very good ball players on the team and I think they'll do great this year.

I hope Lynch has a quick/healthy recovery. It would be nice to see him on the floor for the Eagles all year. He's an exciting player and definitely plays a role in changing TVC games.

Eastern Has Three Returing Starters and will do a good job this year. I see them being on top of TVC Hocking this year. You have four good Juniors Mikey Johnson, Kelly Winebrenner, Titus Pierce, and Jake lynch. I do look for the rest of the varsity team to be sophmores. this summer at the ravenswood summer league they had two juniors and five sopmores the whole summer. they ended up beating Wahama, Southern, Point Pleasent, Roane County WV, Frontier, and beat Ravenswood once but lost int he league championship game tho Ravenswood in a barn burner. Any thoughts on the sopmore class. I know that there eigth grade year they were undeafeated and had a 17-3 record for JV last year bening all freshman.
Good Luck Eagles!

Yes, I have too. I have seen him scream and stomp and afterward

the calls seem to go his way. Unfortunately for the opposing teams, the officials seem to think that it is kosher to give him the calls when he acts that way.

Howie doesnt scream
just coaches well
that's why his team
never does fail
don't get mad
and talk so mean
but it's ok to be sad
when Howie beats your team
Howies Eagle's
your team wont beat
champions of the league
is what the Eagle's will repeat
GO EAGLES!
DUNK ONE!

Being new to the area, I have never actually seen an Eastern game. All I hear is how this coach stomps and screams the whole game, and that that is how they win. First, does the coach really act that way during games? Second, if he does act that way, how does he not get T'd up and thrown out of games? Are the officials really that afraid of the guy. Is he a big intimidating person? Does he only do that at home where he possibly schedules his own officials who will put up with his behavior? Or is all that talk just an exaggeration?

Yes he does stomp a lot, and scream.
Yes some officials do cower down to him, appear to be afraid of him, and then make calls that favor his team.
I have no idea how he doesn't get thrown out of games, though he does back down and quits stomping and screaming during games in which officials wont put up with it.
Yes this mostly happens at home games.
No he is not very big, or intimidating.
No, the talk is not exaggerated.
