Gallipolis has never come close to beating Cavs since they joined the SEOAL.

Thoughts.

Always tough for the Cavs to make the trip down State Route 35. By the records Chilly should handle this one with ease, however this Cavalier team is still waiting to put 4 quarters together. Last night against a very good Dublin team was as close as it has been all year. We have been spoiled with some very solid, veteran ball clubs the past 6 years. This years version with only two returning players with major minutes is still finding it's way and youth/inexperience can hurt on the road.

The good news is we have had 20 plus point performances from 4 different kids. If we can continue to get good scoring balance to help ease the double/triple teams that London will see, than the team will get better.

As for Friday night, the staple of Chillicothe Basketball, being defense, will be on display and the main ingredient for attempting to win on the road. The man in the middle, Mr. London will not let many points be scored in the paint. Expect the Cavs to have a sizable advantage in the points in the paint stat category.

It will be interesting to see what defense Gallia throws at the Cavs. We have seen it all this year, so there should be no surprises. Zach Johnson returned from a two game absence to post a solid all around game against Dublin. This will be Zach's 3rd start on the road against Gallua, but will be his first as the 1st/2nd option offensively. I expect he will have a solid all around game as he knows that the Cavs cannot slip up on the road in this tight league race.

In summary, everyone is at risk when you play a league game on the road. Hopefuuly all the kids realize this and we get out of the gates quick and not let the Blue Devil's get to much momentum and confidence.

GO CAVS!

Surprised the turnover and rebounding ratios are that close. I bet the glaring stat is number of shots taken which i bet is way favored toward the opponents . First half GAHS has been within reach but scoring has fell off because of foul trouble, pressure, and the bench is not deep enought to sub and maintain a good level of play . Good Luck Friday. Hoping for good game. Anyone know the status of the two injured players ??

Cavs win 51-37 in a very competitive game. Malik London leads the way with another triple double. I'm sure Jottings will start a thread or post his summary. Great seeing him tonight. Truly one of the finest gentlemen one could ever meet.

Any road win in the league is a good win. Cavs keep pace in league play. Next up, big game Monday in Dayton against Dayton Chaminade Julienne.

Should have come and seen for yourself 91.....LOL.... Malik was a force, especially on defense.... Had numerous blocks and was very intimidating in the middle.... Many times our players would drive to the bucket & then realize they had no chance of scoring over Malik..... Lead to many TO's or blocked shots, all compliments or Mr. Malik.... The Blue are getting better but must cut down on Turn overs and start hitting some shots.... Nice seeing Coach Oz at the game.....
