Anyone have Chesapeakes roster, I'm curious if they can handle Fletcher and Carter, presuming Carter is good to go by then.

What a tremendous schedule Ironton plays. Wish they still played at Jackson during the season.

I really hope peake wins this game but im afraid that peake will live and DIE with extreme ball pressure, total deny and very poor help/recover defense. this will allow Carter to get to the basket any time he wants, just as portsmouth did in the tourney last year. Peake wont change their defensive philosophy against a kid they wont be able to guard with tight man to man and this will more than likely cost them the game. I hope im wrong.

Should be a good one. I think Tigers win just based on quality of opposition to date. Granted they have had to come from behind to win a few but that just shows how tough they are. Still a good game though.

Ironton's come from behind win over Brookhaven Thursday night was impressive.
But their come from behind win on Friday night over Brooke Point was even more impressive without Carter. The entire team stepped it up, Fletcher became a monster and when White checked in for the first time, the fans and his fellow players got fired up. That was the biggest game changer from the bench I have ever seen!
Ironton has never yet been at full strength this season....... if Carter and White BOTH play from here on out......... LOOK OUT!

I agree, when White came in it gave the Tigers a spark they needed with 10 Points and 7 rebounds in a little over 2 Qtrs. The Team defense in the 4th QTR was awesome.

The Tigers look strong even when they are not at full strength. It is still early in the season. Too many turnovers. Time will tell.

... right now the Ironton squad of Coach LaFon is THE most complete TEAM Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line imo ... the TRUE PG in Zac Carter who puts up over 20 ppg as well ! if not THE Big Man in Southern Ohio at least "one of" the best big men in Southern Ohio in Trey Fletcher 6-6 ( rebounds at both ends, scores in the paint AND knocks down the three ball as well) ... outstanding role players Dion Brown 6-3, Nolan Johnson 6-2, Trevor White 6-3, Dutey/Glover & Co. which feeds into TEAM defense ... only time will tell if I'town is in fact THE TEAM ...Friday night vs Chesapeake is a BIG game for BOTH squads ... I like the match-up of TEAMS, 2 of the best coaches anywhere in the state (Ironton with Coach LaFon and Coach Davis for Chesapeake), players on lists for Mr. Ohio (Austin McMaster CHS, Fletcher & Carter IHS) ...
Wish I could be in the house for this one!!! I will be at the James hospital in Columbus ( 3 tests- echocardiogram/brain MRI/ CT scan) <= I WILL BE LISTENING TO THIS ONE ON WIRO radio online though ... the best to both of these outstanding TEAMS in this matchup Friday night ...

"Lancaster-Dixon Line." Now that is funny right there. I don't care who you are.

I think you will see the Top guys (Fletcher, Carter, McMaster) all get theirs, but this will come down to depth imo. Ironton's bench is as good as they come, and if Chesapeake gets in foul trouble then this plays to the advantage of the tigers.
Ironton 67
Chesapeake 60

Pretty much agree with most of what has been said on this one. Really interested to see how Peake handles Fletcher. Carter is a great one, but I think Peake matches up OK on D with Thompson and Hintz. Peake however doesn't have a true "on the blocks" post player that matches up with Fletcher. Since McMaster was out against Logan Elm, we didn't get to see that dynamic against their big man.
Ironton should be favored in this one. But hopefully Peake can find a way defensively to handle Carter and Fletcher and have McMaster have his typical game. From there, we need a couple of Panthers to step up in way that DID NOT happen against Logan Elm. Kennedy especially needs to get involved on both ends of the court and have a big game.
Go Peake
