Oak hill at Fairland 12/23
Re: Oak hill at Fairland 12/23
... just got my first in-person look at Fairland tonight as they beat Alexander 69-49 ... the Dragons are a very nice ball club ... the obvious inside presence of Evan Salyers 6-5 who can hit the midrange jumper as well ... along with the other half of the scoring duo for FHS 6-3 Blane Fuller ( gets into the paint, quick enough to go baseline, hits the midrange jumper and finishes at the rim) ... these two are surrounded by excellent role players Maddox/Riley/Wooten/Goodman/Campbell ... the squad plays excellent TEAM defense ... can push the ball in transition or play in the half court game as well ... Campbell/Maddox both handle the ball and pressure very well with both the dribble and floor vision ... not many weakness other than ONE MAJOR ONE tonight 9/21 at the line ... with their offense pushing the ball into the paint the Dragons WILL get to the line - they have to do a better job from the FT line for sure ...

I think the quickness of Fairlands guards is the difference. Don't think they realize how good Salyers is imho he is the most complete post man in the area.

Oak Hill must be doing it with smoke and Mirrors did not look good at preview. Not much size have they beat anybody with a winning record?

Surprised by this one. Heard Salyers was in foul trouble and the dragons didn't play up to potential.
