Does anyone have any idea why Michael Ferris is playing JV this year instead of starting Varsity? This is one of the few who will actually plays team ball, can jump like a deer and takes smart shots instead of throwing up 3's each time it touches their hands. They are not even starting him on the JV team. This kid is a coaches dream, he doesnt talk back or smart off like the choosen ones if you know what I mean and gives it 110 percent when he is playing.
As for the Oak Hill game last night. Hunter Johnson played a really good game. He also appears to be one who will play team ball along with Payne.

Coach, if the 3's aren't droppin then take the bombers out and play the hustlers! Bring up Ferris if you want to improve your team too! WHY, WHY WHY

Viking Grad makes a good point. Ferris was in the photo in the Sunday paper for the team but then disappeared from the varsity for some reason. A really gifted athlete who is not getting much playing time for some reason. Would be nice to see what he could do on the varsity. Might be the spark they need to come alive.

I am sure the coach has a reason. Coaches want to win and will play the kids they think will get it done. If the Vikings have not changed coaches, I believe this guy has had some success, hasn't he?

I just have to say, this post reminds me of a kid that came to the school I was at and started to go to a private basketball school out of state. The parents were sure this kid could go to Div.1 colleges. The kid came back to the school I was at and did not even start on the Freshman team that year(this has been awhile ago).

Hope the Vikings do well and wish them luck this year.

i think that carpenter is playing his own little game it is called FAVORITES and guess what ferris aint one of them because guess what he aint got the right last name unlike the majority of the varsity . that is my opinion cause i know ferris personally he is a good friend of mine and i know for a fact that he is a darn good ball player.

One day Varsity, next day Junior Varsity.

All you have to do is watch a game to figure this one out.
So much talent............
To many parents thinking they can coach.
To many players thinking instead of playing.
Let them play and quit name calling.
They want to win just as bad as u want them to.

Ferris had 14 points and 10 rebounds against Clay.
He only had 4 points against Eastern, but had 3 blocks and several rebounds.
SV won the JV game by a big margin.

Ferris had a good game against Clay. They could have used him on varsity too.

The boys played a good game against Eastern on Friday. Tibbs was really hot, Johnson and Payne came alive too and you could see they wanted this one. Hope this continues.

Ferris had 12 or more points against the SV jv blow out against SG. He also had 12 rebounds and 2 great blocks.

Well Ferris dressed varsity for two games, but did not play in either one. The coaches even made him sit for 2 quarters in the jv games. The last game against Western he did not dress varsity.

WOW, Symmes Valley's record isn't good right now!!!!! This is suprising with the talent they have!!!!!!!
