This could be a good game. These Bulldogs are not the same team as last year.
They looked impressive at times during the summer league at Wellston.
Vikes tough at home in Valhalla, and the Norsemen blowing the whistle.

VC had better take Athens seriously. The Bulldogs are playing some solid ball. Vikes may have the homecourt advantage but Athens knows how serious people will take them if they can win on VC,s court. Plus they will be looking for some payback for the pounding they took last year. I think the Vikes can pull this one out as long as they dont allow themselves to get too rattled and bring their A game. Prediction : VC 65 Athens 57

haha..yea we did pound them last year bad!..i didnt make it ot the convo due to illness but im gladthey pulled off teh W....looks like these boys know how to win....i played ball with athens point guard a few yeard back in aau and played with camron tope...they are both very good players camron has a nice jump shot and is a hustler on the boards...athens point guard is short but very quick he's a solid shooter to...very good handles....but vc at home baby!..not to mention too much grillo and baby butt.....vc 77-54athens......

I thought Trimble had beaten Athens? Can someone give me the Trimble/Athens score.

Hey Primetime08, Did you play for Vinton County? You seem in your posts to know alot about the VIKES last year and familiar with most of the players this year.

The Vikes have had 3 games 2 of which were not played at home. VC beat Athens like a drum last year at Athens, I dont think home court will make much of a difference this year.

Razor, can you think of anything elese to post on here besides VC playing at home? You are by far the most 1 sided poster I have ever read on this site. I think secretly you are actually in love with VC. I cant think of any other reason you would continue to post on their threads. Its OK they have been one of the best teams in SE Ohio, and have started out 3-0 this year. And I think we should change your name because razors are sharp and you sir are not. Lets call you The Butterknife, because you are dull as crap and pretty useless. So anyway, The Butterknife, enjoy watching VC win yet another game.

Allthough Athens has improved I dont see them being very competitive in this game. VC had there way with the Bulldogs last year in Athens and eventhough this is a new year, VC has enough weapons to win this one fairly easily. Look for Athens to keep it close in the 1st half and VC controlling the 2nd half and pull away.

This oughta be pretty good game. I'm honestly glad that Athens has gotten out to a good start. Their kids always seem to work really hard and get after folks.

Heard about McNeal getting tossed due to a really poor officiating call. Sad that because of a blatant misunderstanding he's gotta sit for two games.

Since VC is idol Tuesday, it'll give Combs several days to get the Vikes ready. I hope VC doesn't get stupid and underestimate the Bulldogs.

Primetime, from some of your posts on other threads Ifigured I knew who you were. My nephew played ball w/you for years..... #10. He comes over most every Sunday to visit and we usually have a family meal. You should come out sometime.
