Talked to coach E last night on the phone. He was excited for the kids. He talked about them stepping up when needed and them moving forward. Great Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We definately needed this one.....four straight losses with each game having one qtr of 5...4...4...2.. points and its hard to win playing only 3 qtr of basketball.
Final from chesire.... Federal Hocking 53 ...River Valley 51.
Evan mccune hit 2 free throws with 2 seconds for the win.....these free throws were huge for a young man who has come on and without much varsity experience to sink the game winners.
Senior Grant Smith led the lancers with 19 and Senior Justin Stanley had 17 points and 20 rebounds...the road doesnt get easy for Fed hock....fairland on tues and Charleston Catholic on sat.....Great effort for 32 min last night lancers....way to finish....learn from this
River Valley fought hard and never quit which is a compliment to the kids and the coaches.

Nice Job for the Lancers! Good win for them and their program. However, I am not sure why, I think it is unprofessional of a coach to be on this site posting. Good luck Lancers!

I SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH A COACH POSTING BOX SCORES, PRAISING THE OPPOSITE TEAM, ETC.. HE DID IT IN GOOD TASTE AND HE'S NOT HIDING YOU WOULD BE AMAZED OF THE COACHES WHO HAVE TWO DIFFERENT NAMES ON THIS SITE AND POST ALL SORTS OF INFO. GO GET A GALLIPOLIS PAPER, NOT ONE WORD ABOUT THE WIN?? GOOD JOB LANCERS AND COACH "E".

i assume the gallpolis paper would be reporting on rv therefore there wouldnt be anything about the "win" since fh won this game.... i would have expected to find report on the game in mondays gallipolis daily though

When they report in the paper about a b-ball game, they in fact do report about the win, if they report that somebody loses then they are reporting about the other team winning, correct?. There isn't one word in the paper about this one.

you guys must get your paper earlier than i get mine.

i guess if you want to read the newspaper report about the win you need to go pick up an athens messenger being htat would be the paper reporting on fh. if i read the tribune i would read about rv's loss.
no different than reading about ga win over meigs and their lossses to peake and athens....

did the columbus dispatch reiport on penn st win over osu or was it osu loss to penn st?

Congrats to the Lancers and Coach E on a good, hard fought win. Your one over the top so here's hoping they can ride on some mometum.

From the Fox's view it's nice to see the "I" ball at FH slowly being overtaken by the new system of "T"eam ball. Once every player accepts and buys in to that kind of basketball, we will win games. Kudos to the two Srs. who stepped up on Saturday night. Evan McCune, you've got ice in those veins, just keep it coming!!!

This includes JV too where we have some kids that can get up and down the floor, dive for balls and make amazing physical plays, but they have to learn to see the open man when they are swarmed by 3 people and there are 2 shooters standing with wide open looks wanting the ball!! Slashing is great but passing is better when the shot is not there!!

It's only TEAMS that are truely champions!!

Keep working Lancers. You're making great strides. Basketball is a thinking man's game and you are making progress!!!
Your fans are behind ALL of you 100%!!
