Peebles vs Fayetville

Any thoughts on this game. The Rockets are usually tuff on there home floor.Anyone know there record.Peebles was lucky to get out of eastern with a win.The Indians seem to have been going with the nba 3 point shooting, utilizing only two players.TA has to be in the offense alot more if the indians are going to have a good year. This team has alot of speed, but the offense seems to be going in a different direction, using only 2 players, shooting from 3point land or farther.Last time i checked, field goal % is a lot higher inside 3the point line.Ive seen this team run,and there pretty effective, hope they get back to the team concept before facing the green devils.Maybe the rocket game will wake them up,hate to see them falter before the big game against NA.

good points Indian 10. I think everyone is thinking the same thing. This team would be unstoppable if we were utilizing all the strengths. There are plenty of ways to score on this team without continually running up and down the floor forcing those kind of shots. There are 3 or 4 other players who can shoot, who are quick, can see the floor, pass, and can contribute so much. There is no doubt that yes, those 2 are going to have to be the leading scorers and yes, they are going to need to shoot more than others. But...and that's a huge but....they have got to play as a team and utilize everything that this team as A WHOLE has to offer or it's going to be a very dissapointing season for the Indians.

Thanks junkie,im glad im not the only one that feels this way.The one thing u didnt mention,Tyler Arnold has to be more in the offense. He goes minutes without even getting the ball.In my opinion he is as good as the other 2 guys that have been taking all the shots.Give him the ball at the top of the key and its almost automatic.Dont get me wrong,we are 3-1,but in this fans opinion,we have got to change or we are not going to have the season we all thought we would have.Utilize our speed and quickness more,go with that quick line up.If u check our shooting percentage, its not that good.To far out, forcing shots, not passing to the open man, this has to change if we are going to compete when it comes tournament time.

You both make good points about the Peebles Offense... I think the key in this game will be a quick Peebles Transition and a slow quarter court. Fayetteville is sloppy at times and they love to play at a quick pace... THE KEY for Peebles in this game will be to control the game @ the pace they want it, rather than the pace Fayetteville wants it. This will be a game were Turnovers are KEY. If Peebles doesn't commit stupid turnovers, and they attack Fayetteville with a strong Defense they should win this one easy.

When Peebles boys get after it and play the hard-nosed game they can play, their defense is outstanding and can stop anyone, in my opinion.
Sparky, it really isn't about pleasing everyone, it's about doing what it takes to win. It's about not being afraid to let kids know when they are out of line and not doing what it takes to win. It's about not being afraid to get on kids when they need it without worrying about making their dads mad. Believe me, the other players on this team know their roles and are very accepting of them. This is a great group of kids.

I think Sparky is in another world. If he has been to the Indians games,if he knew anthing about basketball,he would know what we are talking about.Pleasing has nothing to do with it.He should check the stats, then he might understand.Go Indians

My Prediction...
Peebles:71
Fayetville:59
I think Fayetville will stay in this game for a little while, giving them the benefit that it's at Fayetville...So i'm giving Peebles a 12 point win...The lead would probably be a little bigger if the game was at Peebles....
Good luck to both team....

I don't think anyone is saying that, I think we are only discussing in a forum on boys basketball what we are observing. Absolutely no disrespect meant to the Coach. No one is arguing his past accomplishments at all. There is no doubt that he CAN turn this team into a winning ball club, I think we are just hoping that he WILL. Just curious jumper, how many of Peebles games have you been to this year?

I've only witnessed one Peebles game and I must say that yes, Justice and Seaman took a lot of shots, but only 1 or 2 was forced and later in the game when the game was in hand a good bit those same two players were going out of there way to create for the others on the team and 2 or 3 times those players didn't catch the ball because they weren't ready for it.
Two things here......
1. The others have just not been passed to or been expected to score hardly at all and when they were they weren't ready
OR
2. They have had ample opportunities to help out on offense but don't seem to finish at a high enough rate.
Either way......at many times during this long season Peebles will need all kids in the rotation to step up...not every game, but most every game. I'm guessing when Peebles loses it'll be when Seaman and Justice are well-controlled and no one steps up.
I believe Peebles has top 10-15 talent in the entire 70 team SE district.....but right now they are not there.

I finally heard that last night's JV and Varsity games were cancelled at Fayetteville. If I heard correctly, the Freshmen game was played but it was decided due to the weather to not play the last two games of the night. No idea as to a make up date. This means that Peebles will have an entire week off in between their last game against Eastern Brown and this Friday's match up against North Adams in the Adams County Holiday Tournament.

Has anyone heard when this game will be rescheduled? I heard that it may be the last game of the season before tournament.
