I believe that is an administrative decision.......AD and Principal. Holidays and weekends are "off-limits".

Re: PORTSMOUTH WEST
Yes I would love to see West play during the break. They did my junior year of high school but they went to Tennessee for a Holiday Shootout. I did't get to go, and let me tell you that was only a couple of games that I missed in my four years. I hope in the next couple of years that they would let the boys play during the break in a holiday shootout somewhere!

Your wishes have come true. West will play during the holidays and will play on a Saturday. The make up game with Waverly will be Saturday the 3rd at Waverly.

Can someone from West give me a roster for the varsity?
I have a list of ALL their players but it doesn't break down who plays varsity.

siders are 2-4 with changes in the making. siders are still struggling shooting the ball from 3pt range, free throws and layups.

West needs to play under control....they run around like chickens with their heads cut off tripleteaming everyone. thats not going to get it done. Alfie Bricker is very talented and could be up for player of the year. Van Gundy is a point that didnt play last year, but is quick and drives to the hole very well. I think if they begin to play smart, they will be alot better

Re: PORTSMOUTH WEST
only watching a couple of the six games it does appear they have no idea how to play team defense, i also seen 3 guy bull rushing the ball and allowing easy layups.also it seemed that they played a little selfish on the offensive end always shooting bad shots instead of making an extra pass to an open teammate.
also it seems to me that there are several jv players that play with better basketball sense that most of the varsity players.
So maybe some changes would be- defensive schemes, shot selection on offense, players
Hope I can make several more games because there is plenty of talent just need to gel with the new coach
