RV was down 16 with around 4 min to go in the 3rd quarter. Cody Smith, a sophomore, nailed a three as time went out for the win. Great Game!

You know, if coach had just put you in the fourth quarter, we'd be state champs. No doubt in my mind.

If CG was two foulshots better, then they win that game. Tough break. Work harder. Get better, but don't complain about a loss, especially one that was so fair and square.

bruiser you are always on here posting negative comments about coach ward give the guy a break he is doing the best he can. he has lost 2 games in OT and one by a 3 point buzzer beater so he could very easily have a winning record so give him a break

C'mon, I have seen Ward coach at Clay and he loves to put on a show for the fans! I can imagine the look on his face when the shot went in. If the game was that close surely someone should have been on the shooter at the three point line, espicially if the game went from being up 16 to losing by 1.

Hornet323, don't we all hide behind our computers

I have only had the chance to go to one other game this season but I can tell you that this one was worth the $5.00 admission fee. Other than the 3rd quarter, RV played a heads up game, ran the entire night and there was no greed on the floor.

As a side-bar, McAvena saw the floor very well throughout the entire game and fed the ball where it needed to be rather than going for the personal glory. They also did a good job of using Zach Deel's size and bulk and Jordan's durability to their advantage by implementing continuous substitutions between the two. Every player on the court had a significant part in the victory. It was refreshing to the RV crowd to see this type of management style and the subsequent victory.

Both teams left it all on the floor and the game could have gone either way. Congratulations Raiders!
