Vinton County, IMO, is refocused. Will wait to make any predictions until results of Trimble/ Athens game are in. Any other thoughts?

Trimble musta got themselves refocused. Winning at Athens! Ill still go with the Vikes though. Viking bench is very deep, 10 of their 12 players put up points Friday nite. VC BY ABOUT 6

I for one am very excited to watch the Guthrie VS. Guthrie matchup when the vikes come to G-Town. I have tomcats win by a nailbiter.

If the Tomcats play like they did against us, they will have no problem with the Vikings. They'll run that big kid right off the floor.

That's funny. That "Big Kid" ran your Bulldogs off the floor

Larry Dallas, What do you mean when you say " run that big kid off the floor" ? Apparently you enjoy the taste of crow more than anyone could imagine. Yes, the Trimble squad is good and improved. Yes, they will have homecourt advantage, BUT the Vikings have a history of when one or two players are having a bad nite, others, on the bench step up and play an A game. As far as depth on the bench goes, VC has morethan most schools do. No matter who wins this game, it will be a close one. 5 to 7 points either way.

Space - I agree the score should be close. The CATS also have a bench...Drake, Love and Boudinot give the CATS valueable minutes that help out a lot. I believe both VC are the games of the week this week - so it should be live as well as on the tube.
GO CATS!

Ball Hound,
No that's funny. There are 2 reasons why the Vikings beat my Bulldogs. One, the refs were flat out aweful. Two, the VC coach had the guts to put the big kid where he belongs: On the bench by the the water cooler.

CATalylst, You are correct on the CATS having some depth on the bench also. I truely believe if both teams bring their A game, this will be one of the best games to watch this week.

That's funny Larry. If I remember right the "big kid" scored in double figures that night. I guess Athens is so bad someone can score over 10 points without leaving the bench.
As far as the VC/Trimble game goes VC is now starting to refocus and play a bit better they are deep and I see their quickness being an issue for the Cats. The game will be closer than it should be due to playing @ Trimble but VC will pull away in the 4th toward a 8-12 point win. Unlike Athens VC will show up for this one.

Upperdeck, You do remember correctly, Dyl was in double figures which is why he saw limited play time later in the game.

On another matter, can anyone confirm the reports I am getting about VC having a new football coach soon...

While that news does not suprise me, the fact that anyone would tackle that job does. There needs to be concrete solid support from the School Board on down to the parents before that program begins to recover. Until that day, we might as well install a revolving door to the fieldhouse.

primetime -
In order to have a legit post on here, you really should attend a game and judge for yourself instead of making uninformed comments.
You may be "trembling" in VC....but I will back
this one up: Trimble is spelled
T....R....I....M....B...L....E..... {hence the title of the thread}

GO CATS!
