Symmes Valley @ Western

Was waiting on a Viking or Indian fan to post this topic but could'nt wait any longer........This is a huge match-up as far as the SOC 1 is concerned,Western 3-0 in league play and SV 2-1.I think SV will keep it close throughout the game but Western will hit FT's down the stretch to seal the win.Sounds like Penwell had a huge game against ND,If he continues to play well along with Shanks,Smithson, and the others this club will be hard to deal with the rest of the way...............I'll take Western in this one 78-71.

Valley did run us but our coach has made quite a few adjustments since then. and pennwell finally aserting his self only helps us create a real 3 headed monster for our opponets with pennwell handleing the point more it makes us much faster in transition and hall playing some more 2 guard his strength on the boards was very evident in the dotre dame game most 2's in the league cant strength wise and height wise cant compeat with him in the half court and pennwell gives us the speed at point to penatrait the paint and shoot the three.

Anyway you slice it, at most Western can only put 1 quick player and a couple of average quickness players on the floor at a time. That always leaves 2 slower players. That being said, Western's size and strength is their impressive advantage. But, if Symmes Valley pushes the ball and his hitting from 3, they can beat Western. As an Eagle fan, I'd love to see it

Man....Hall is above the other gaurds in strength and smarts----I didn't see that in the classic----But I'm not at every game----? The league is "extremely" weak if thats the case...Not to take anything from him but....IF you say he already has that much up on the other gaurds I can't imagine how much better he could get if he would practice 100%....

Not sure how Symmes Valley is this year, but I know they always have an athletic team. Hopefully Western comes out ready and picks up where they left off against ND....

Ignert- SV cant committ to nothing but running the floor for one game to just beat them, it has taken Valleys coach 2 years to get them where they are, I doubt SV's coach can get his team where Valley is from last Tuesday to this Friday... I can't see any other teams running like Valley

Hall is not the quickest guard in the league but i seen the Green and the New Boston game an he picked apart the other team.I believe he is one of the smarter guards but the past couple of games he as not played to the level i have seen him play before. But that is my toughts about it.

Unless Mershon has been on roids since last season, he is NOT the quickest guard in the league.

From what I've seen, Penwell, and the point guard for NB are definately the quickest guards in the league...although I did hear that East has some quickness as well.

Western is playing better defense, Jacob Leslie play a great defensive game. They showed more team ball, and spread the scoring around not just one player stood out .Hall might not be the fastest point gaurd, but nobody handles the ball better, and sees the floor better.Penwell is starting to turn up his game. Great job Western Indians
