Belpre junior Markie Tate was named the Parkersburg News Boys Athlete of the Week. Tate averaged over 22 points per game for the Eagles in the 3 games played this past week. At Waterford on Tuesday Tate tossed in 15 markers during the loss. On Friday and Saturday night at Belpre Tate hit back to back for 26 points in the 2 Belpre wins over Athens and River Valley. Tate also added 7 assist, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. On the season the Belpre junior is averaging 17.5 ppg on the season.

he is a good athlete but will he be able to play because of his grades is the question.
