What teams in the Southeast D3 could play with Fort Frye 8-0

Post by EasternDspy »

I bring this up because Fort Frye is not ranked and alot of southeast teams are getting votes.AP POLL is stupid.I think Fort Frye is better then Ironton,Piketon,North Adams,Alexander, and Portsmouth.

All of those teams you have mentioned could play with Fort Frye........the Cadets are good, no doubt, but they are not unbeatable. With the league schedules that Ironton and Portsmouth play, they are going to have some losses. Put Fort Frye in the SEOAL having to play Chillicothe, Ironton, and Portsmouth twice and I can guarantee they wouldn't sweep those series, most likely losing to Chilllicothe twice. I know Chillicothe is D2, but Ironton and Portsmouth have to play them twice. Although I think the South is much stronger than the North this year, going through the North without a loss would still be difficult. Marietta has a good team this year and right now leads the North division.

And let me add this fact.........Portsmouth is 4-0 outside of the SEOAL and 2-2 in league play, one loss which was in OT at Ironton. The Trojans have victories over Wheelersburg and 7-3 Minford, which just beat Oak Hill last night. Right now Ironton is 4-0 in the SEOAL with a victory over Chillicothe. Ironton's losses were to Columbus Brookhaven 65-62 and the other was in OT to Wheelersburg.

I wouldn't get too upset about the polls..........there's a lot of politics involved with them.......and many, many times teams ranked in the polls get eliminated early in the tournament. I think the Cadets should at least be ranked.......and if they keep winning, they will most likely get the recognition they deserve.

Dan Liedtke He almost to 400 wins.He has been the coach since 1988.All I am saying is if Fort Frye plays like they did last night not even Chillcothe could of beat them. That might have been because they played at the gym they are very comfortable in.Bloom Carroll a few years ago came in state ranked and got beat by 30 in Beverly.2 years ago Federal Hocking came in like 18-1 and got beat by 20 or 25.I guess we will see how the rest of season turns out.To see teams like Ironton,Piketon, and Alexander ahead of the Cadets with losses kinda made me mad.Fort Frye would beat Marietta.

I would say Ironton,Portsmouth,Piketon,,North Adams,Alexander,Oak Hill,Wheelersburg,Minford,Westfall,Peebles and Valley........I think these are some teams that could play with the Cadets.

Yea but Fort Frye can play with all of them.Hopefully Fort Frye is at Regionals and gets it chance. If they play like they did last night no one cane beat them.Brandt Thieman had 27 last night in there win over Frontier(8-1).Arnold scored 26 last night. Both of them scoring over 20 a game. Not only did they crush Frontier for there first lost they beat them down.

The best thing for you is to either take a deep breath and understand that may Fort Frye doesnt get much media exposure or whatever but they are just polls.

If that doesnt work, start a website of your own dedicated to your geographical area so that others like you can come on here and debate an issue that will never come to fruition during the regular season! lol :122245

On a neutral court Frontier beats the Cadets easily. The word homer doesn't do the poor officiating the negative justice it deserves in this case.

You are crazy Fort Frye dominated Frontier in every way of the game.Frontier played zero defense and got outcoached.Fort Frye is so much better.Talk about sore loser.Frontier only keep it close for one qt.Maybe your coach should of not played a 2-3 zone.

I would love to see Fort Frye and North Adams play...A lot of people take away some credit from NA, by saying they don't play in a tough enough league...But I don't think they know how much talent this team has...I'm not taking anything away from Fort Frye, They're a good ball club...But i would really like to see this match-up...Never know..It may happen come tourny time.. :-D

Didn't Fort Frye struggle with Waterford? or am I just imagining they did?
If the Cadets are as good as you claim, we will see them in the Regionals.

North Adams beat Waterford last year by 5 i believe...I don't know who or how many players Waterford lost last year...And NA only lost one senior that got major minutes...

Fort Frye matchs-up well with North Adams. It would be a great game.Brandt"He-Man" Thieman 6-5 has improve so much scoring well over 20 a game.I think Unger will find it hard to score on him.Unger is a great player.Jarrod Arnold is a great shooter scoring over 20 a game.It be a fun game.

Kapona - sometimes you get a little carried away.

There is a big difference between the SEOAL and the PVC. Road trips to Ironton, Chillicothe, and Portsmouth are far different than trips to Sarahsville, New Matamoras, and Woodsfield.

You have a very nice team there in Beverly, just enjoy the ride, lots of basketball yet to play.

You do those great kids out there and their coaches a disservice by getting on these sites and crowing like a rooster all the time. Folks get turned off by it!

Just go watch the games!

Something to do.Fort Frye is very good this season and would hold up vs any SEOAL team.Warren is hanging pretty good and they beat them.
