From what I have seen from ND playing Symmes Valley tough at Symmes Valley and Eastern defeating Western on tuesday night, it looks like this one should be a really close game. Notre Dame has had some success this year on their home court. Eastern will come ready to play and they are coming off a big win and will want to keep the momentum going in SOC play. Notre Dame will want to get that momentum back in the SOC and hopefully put the SOC in a three or four way tie, depending on what Clay does against Western.

ND just played SV very tough at SV and lost by 12 points I think at Western. Notre Dame playes well at home. This could be a trap game for the Eagles if they get content with their home win over Western.
I'll take Eastern by 5 points 60-55.

Have not seen Notre Dame play, so I can only go by what I have heard. They are quick. Eagles have been playing good ball and we are going to have to keep up the intensity, but play smart and protect the basketball. If we have the height advantage then we need to get the ball inside and put them in foul trouble.
I think if I were coaching, I would throw a monkey wrench into Notre Dame's defense and have Osborne bringing the ball down the floor, for he is a triple threat. They are probably going to do everything in their power to keep the ball out of his hands, so why not put it in his hands ASAP to force ND out of their game plan. I would have Thornsberry playing the #2 guard with Wheeler, McVey and Montgomery underneath. We push the ball inside until they stop us, only if we have the heigth mismatch. If not then the three perimeter guys will have to step up.
Not sure of Notre Dames perimeter game, but I think play zone to start, see if they can beat us outside. Would also run a 3-2 half court zone press. Put my three underneath guys up front.
If we stay under control and go with the game plan, then I say the Eagles by 10.
GO GET BOYS!!!!! BRING HOME ANOTHER SOC WIN. wILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE THERE, BUT WILL DEFINITELY BE THERE ROOTING IN SPIRIT!!!

I haven't seen Notre Dame play yet, but after reading about their team on several threads, I'll take Eastern in a close one. It sounds like these two teams are defensive oriented and the game will probably be in the 50's . I'll say Eastern 58 and Notre Dame 51. Hopefully the Eagles can pound it inside. That is where their advantage will be tonight. Good Luck Eagles.

Hats off to point guard Jacob Helton who appeared to set the tempo at the end of the game last night to allow scoring attempts for guys off the bench--very respectable Jake---you passed personal opportunities for that---and to Bryan Osborne who had some really nice looks and pases last night to the inside guys (again passing up personal opportunity to score) THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT!!!!
Now a word of advice to the younger guys---look at your seniors for leadership---the game isn't about personal stats at the end of each night!!! Hope you don't realize that too late.
EAGLE FANS ARE IMPRESSED WITH HOW FAR THE TEAM HAS COME THIS YEAR!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
BE READY ON TUESDAY.
