This game might separate the men from the boys. Both teams coming off hard losses.Who will rebound and who will bounce?

Waverly won the first meeting 72-58 back on Dec 12. but this is a game I've been concerned about. Going to Minford is always tough and it seems the Falcons are playing allot better with a win over Oak Hill and a last second loss to Burg.
Hopefully the Tigers regroup best and get back on the winning track.

Minford just did not have things clicking for some reason the last time these two hooked up. Since halftime of the Northwest game the Falcons have been playing much better. 3 losses to tough teams Burg by 1 (a game we should have won-tackle at midcourt), hung tough with Portsmouth til the end, and a 3 point loss to Valley at Valley in the best game I have seen in a long time. I look for a strong outing at Minford and a home victory.

Waverly must have won. No one from Minford is posting the score. That's my guess.

Late game with a tripple header and a game going into overtime. Minford wins 63-55. Great win Falcons!!!!

Salemcat, I'm glad to hear the Falcons pulled off the upset. Didn't realize it was a triple header.

Coach Robertson better pull the troops together down in Pike County. Two tough loses in a row. Plus the second half of the season sees them going to the Burg and to Oak Hill. They also will have to deal with a redhot Chillicothe team. To much talent on this team not to finish strong.
Congrats to a strong Minford team, but I struggle when you have Martin (20 ppg plus), 6'7" Victor in the middle and probably one of the best athletes in Roback in Ohio. Through in the frosh Kretzer and a few other solid kids and this team should be a 3-4 seed in the D2 Sectional. Time will tell. I will be interested in the chatter around the coffee pot in Waverly tomorrow.
As a distant Tiger fan, I would like to see them finish strong (at least until Chilly meets them in a few weeks).
GO CAVS!!!

Coach Robertson can't shoot the ball for them- poor night of shooting by the Tigers- they had to have missed 10-12 shots within six feet from the basket. Waverly will have all they want at West this Friday.

The Tigers finally hit 100% from the line but not enough of them, 8-8. Minford shot 20-29 from the line.
As bucki4life said, terrible night shooting for the Tigers. Way too many bunnies missed. Not a very good effort defensively either. You would think Waverly should dominate Minford on the glass but that did not happen. I think there were some terrible foul calls on Victor to take him out of the game early but that didn't cost the Tigers the victory.
The coaching staff has to pull the troops together and get this thing turned back around.

Is any one else tired of the complete lack of class that minford fans show. From the adults in the stands yelling derogatory things at our students and coaching staff. Not the student section mind you, but the adults. And then at the end of the game with about 30 seconds left, an adult male comes out of the stands grabs one of the waverly coaches while the game is going on and yells how do you like them falcons now. From the clock operator to the fans in the stands it is the worst group of fans i have ever encountered. You know going in that you are going to get screwed, but it gets worse every year.

I witnessed the adult harassing the assistant coach from Waverly. Totally classless. I checked to see where the deputy was as the fan walked out the door. He walked past the deputy that was having a conversation with a female, totally oblivious to what had just happened. After the game Waverly's AD went to the deputy and the attitude of the deputy was pathetic. He would not listen to the AD and give him any satisfaction. If he would have listened and acted interested and then blown him off I'd understand. But smug is the word.

talk to the assistant coach and you will see it was a misunderstanding, the guy that patted him on the back was a friend of his and he didn't see who it was, 2. the clocks are new and they have been having difficulty with them , if you was there you would have heard the announcer read a statement that the clocks are messed up and keep running but they always go back to the correct time, tiger4life you must have been the person or was that your buddy that was up yelling at the refs and players all the time, get a clue
