Gallia Academy @ Zanesville 1-23
BlueDevil vs BlueDevil 4-7 vs 4-7....Zanesville need's this game bad to keep pace in the north division and keep climbing toward's .500.If Zanesville keep's it's composure and hold's down the to's and get's the ball in the paint our whole offense will strive off that as Aronhalt stated..... GO Zville BLUE DEVIL"S

1 home game left and 7 on the road that stink's.If i run into ZV that's unlikely but i'll give him ur message or maybe he will log on and get it himself.Have a safe trip friday......

Ville by 9. We keep it up and even though we'll be 5-7 with a victory, we would be 4-1 in the north!

Defending league champ Zanesville wins low-scoring game over GAHS, 45-25
Gallipolis got off just 10 shots during the first 16 minutes of play, and made only one while Zanesville wasn’t much better, sinking only four of 17 field goal attempts, but a 22-7 run in the third quarter lifted the Z-Blue Devils to a 45-25 triumph over the G-Blue Devils Friday night in a Southeastern Ohio Athletic League interdivision contest in Winland gymnasium.
After the first half defensive struggle, Zanesville was able to bombard the hoops from afar during the third quarter, sinking four treys to take a 34-10 advantage into the final period.
While ZHS was sinking nine of 14 field goal attempts in the third period, GAHS managed only three of 10. Gallipolis outscored the defending league champs 15-11 in the final period, but too much damage had been done.
The loss left GAHS 5-8 overall and 1-6 in the Southeastern Ohio League’s South Division. North Division leader Zanesville improved to 5-7 overall and 5-1 in conference action. Tuesday, GAHS travels to Portsmouth for a South Division battle. Zanesville will host fast-improving Logan.
Nick Mitchell came off the bench to pace GAHS with eight points. Kyle Mitchell added six. Chris Armstrong, Gallia’s second top scorer and top rebounder, picked up two quick fouls in the first period, then got two quick ones in the third and played sparingly for GAHS.
Gallipolis finished the game with nine field goals out of 35 attempts for 38.8 percent. At the foul line, GAHS three of seven (42.8 percent) in the fast-paced battle which took only an hour and 25 minutes to play. Gallipolis was charged with 13 personals. The Blue Devils were outrebounded for only the third time this winter, 25-20. Kyle Mitchell picked nine for the Gallians.
GAHS had just nine turnovers in the 32-minute battle.
Zanesville connected on 16 of 36 field goal attempts for 44.4 percent. At the line, ZHS was eight of 10 for 80 percent. Zanesville had six fouls and nine turnovers.
Big Joe Prati, 6-6 senior center, led ZHS with 10 points and eight rebounds. Brandon Mills and Allen Harris added nine points apiece while Tanner Gibson popped in eight markers.
Gallipolis’ JVs, after falling behind 8-0 during the first four minutes, outscored the Z- Blue Devils 45-30 during the rest of the game to post a 45-38 triumph in the preliminary contest.
Zanesville led 12-6 after one period and 18-13 during halftime. The Blue Imps outscored Zanesville 16-8 in the third stanza. Corey Eberhard’s layup with nine seconds left in the third quarter gave Gallia its first lead of the game and Nate Allison’s goal at the buzzer gave GAHS a 29-26 advantage going into the final period.
The visitors outscored ZHS 16-11 in the final seven minutes to post their 10th victory against three setbacks overall. In Southeastern Ohio League action, GAHS improved to 4-3. Zanesville dropped to 7-4 overall and 2-4 in league action.
For GAHS, Corey Eberhard led the way with 12 points. Nate Allison had nine, Jordan Cornwell eight, and Austin Wilson seven for the Blue Imps. Devin Jones paced Zanesville with 17 points. Cory Harris added 10.
