Best Cheer Blocks?

What school do you think has the best cheer block? What place do you hate for your team to travel to? And also, does this give these teams an advantage? ... Any thoughts?

Most cheer blocks aren't very good until tournament time. Can't really hear what the other side is saying at all and you know most of the time your cheers aren't heard either. For the worse place for my team to travel to, any school in Scioto County.. they assign some of the worst refs! As for best cheer block I have seen this year the kids at Oak Hill do a pretty good job at the boys games and the girls games! But I guess I'm bias that's the only cheer block I've seen, Oak Hill's and their opponents.

The Flock from Minford is usually one of the tops around. They have kind of slacked off a bit this year though....

Both cheer blocks at the Burg @ Minford game were very good. That was probably the best back and forth exchanges I have seen.

The new Burg cheer block behind the basket is getting better. I think it is pretty cool when an opponent is shooting a foul shot in the 2nd half and they all sit down and then jump when he is about to release the ball. Not sure if it has any major effect, but it is fun to watch!!

I have seen a few Burg games this year, but only one at home because of the way I work, and I think the Burg cheer block does a really good job. The exchange back and forth at Minford was great.

As for the cheer block behind the basket at the home games, if they really want to disrupt the shooter they need to try this. Each row needs to sway back and forth at different intervals. Like this, while the first row is swaying to the left the second row is swaying to the right and have each row alternate like that. I think that would give the illusion the basket is moving and may disrupt the shooter. Of course, if the shooter is really focused and a good free throw shooter it's not to affect them no matter what you do in the stands.

Oak Hill & Scioto county schools have the same assigner for refs????
He assigns all of the SOC schools. So for the most part I would say that Oak Hill has the same variety of refs as Scioto county.

The Calvary at Meigs is fantastic!! They have a great group of kids out at both the boys and girls games screaming from start to end, win or lose. Believe me they are heard across the gym and probably out in the parking lot!!!! Ernie and Brandon have done a great job of getting the crowd out and pumped up week after week. You boys will be sorely missed next year. At least by the Meigs fans!

I would have said Zanesville before the Ironton game this year. Two years ago they had such a rowdy crowd it was fun to watch and the place was packed. I was dissappointed this year, they probably didn't have 50 fans at the game.

The best cheer blocks I have seen is when the opposing team is running your's outta the gym

I Don't know about best. Zanesville maybe??? but I haven't seen them this year. Chillicothe's is Terrible. There are 5-15 teams with rowdier crowds and this team is the defending state champs and one of the larger schools in SEO.

The mohawk maniacs have pretty much died off from last years bunch...there are a few that still cheer hard and proud..... 3 I can think of are Paul Carver, T.J Knittel and the man of the hour every hour Brandon Montavon or better known as Junior!
