This is a huge SOC game for both schools...for East is keeps them in the SOC race and brings them a step closer to the title...a loss I honestly they will be fighting for 2nd the rest of the year. For Western a win takes it down to two teams, them and Eastern.

East is going to have to come out take care of Shanks and Penwell on defense and shoot lights out on offense.

I think this is going to be a great game.......Western is more talented overall but East has the shooters to beat them,plus everyone knows how tough it is to win at East....I think it will come down to the wire with the Indians winning by 1......68-67.

can somebody give me a statistical description of East? Leading scorers, senior dominated/experience, height/size, do they press, do they pressure the ball on the perimeter, team depth/how many play significant minutes, etc. Also, has Western been getting any production from anybody besides Shanks, Smithson, and the shooting guard? Would seem that a team who depends on 3 players for most of points could be in trouble if they get in foul trouble or fatigued? Thanks for any imput. If I were setting a betting line I think I would make this game a pick em.

East has really only 3 seniors with big playing time right, but they have a couple who have been out one who was hurt in football and is trying to find his way into the mix with missing all the year but the last couple games and another who got hurt a couple weeks ago. Other than that they have roughly 4-5 juniors who are playing well right now.

blue, this could be bad for you, I have seen you on another thread saying shanks couldnt score at will against some of the teams and another kid you thinkthat should win POY could,,,,,you better hope Shankls dont read this,or you may have given him some very dangerous fuel

Wow, that was bold. I'm not from either place but that Shanks boy is a beast. He can easily manhandle any kid in our area--ANY kid. Having said that good luck stopping him and Western. I would like to see East win but I have to be realistic after seeing both of these teams play a couple of times this year. Good luck Tartans but I'll go with Western by 10.

Not really picking with my head here, I'll go with a surprise upset and East by 2.

I totally agree with you "live4sport"!!!! shanks is a very very hard person to stop this year and he can score any givin time he mants to!!! and against east it will be a bit easier because east only has one kid that is even close to big enough to guard him and that kid is like 4 to 5 in. shorter than vince. and that kid in a way has a sore loser type attitude witch will get him fouled out eirly with him getting scored on by shanks!!!! but the on east the garrett twins are great ball players and they will be hard to stop!!! they were on an aau team with me, and we are great friends

I would not be suprised if Shanks sees a combination of three defenders on him in Mault, Hood, and Jones. If East plays defense like the Tartans faithful know they can they will win this game

wait 'til the Western fans get home and they will post the score. I will assume Western won. There were no lights on at East when I drove by there after returning from Lucasville.

Western won 89 to 75

Western won by 14....East shot the ball terrible pretty much the whole game especially in the first half, They turned the ball over way too much 30 times if not more, and shot terrible from the Free Throw line. They got it to within 5 in the 4th after being down 20 or so but honestly this game could have been alot worse and I was honestly suprised East only lost by 14 tonight. They better get things together for tomarrow night against Coal Grove or it could be another long night for the Tartans
