I was wondering how the local teams handling the weather? Are teams practicing?

Westfall hasn't practiced at all this week. Coach gave them Monday off after Fri/Sat games...so last practice was one week ago!

South Gallia has been off since Saturday morning. No school at all this week and no school means no practice.

I think Portsmouth has had 1 practice so far this week.......but no games Tuesday, tomorrow and maybe Saturday.

Dave you saying no game tomorrow,let me know

Portsmouth is already out of school on friday, so I would say Dave is right, no game.

even if we had school, I doubt Waren would make the trip in this stuf.

Hoopscoop: The Warren game has been postponed to Feb. 19th......Thursday.......and no word right now about the South Point game this Saturday the 31st........it is iffy right now but I will find out tomorrow and post the status of the game unless someone else does.

The Gallia Academy game has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14th.

This reminds me of several years back when a high school boys team had games on Tues, Wed, Fri, and Sat the last week of the season. They won all four games that week and had won the last game before that stretch and finished the season 10-10.

My first year at Athens we played Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and then played Chilicothe with Geren Veris in the tournament on Wednesday, which mericifally ended our season. We went 3-16 and won all three games in that streak, beating Jackson, Ironton(league champs) and Gallia.

Garin Veris was enormous, and with the fro was even taller.
