Logan @ Chillicothe

Post by gymratt »

Game is Friday night and the Cavs must win to stay in 1st place in the south. With the tough game against Reynoldsburg saturday it would be nice to see them rest some guys and get out of there relatively easy but a footb... oops I mean basketeball game against the Cheiftains is seldom easy.

Yeah game is at Logan. If we stay hot and come out the gates it will be a fairly easy game but if we go there thinking they already won it could be a long night against a good team. STAY FOCUSED!!!! GO CAVS!

gymratt,

You were a prophett. Indeed this was a football game. Sounds like the refs allowed both teams to tackle one another. Good for the Cavs to come out with a tough league road win. Down to one in the league to determine if we play for 1st or 3rd in the league.

GO CAVS!!!

hitchbone64 missed you over at Logan! The CAVS go it done in a sloppy game. I think the CAVS ran out of gas early bad passes, turnovers, missed bunnies and of course bad free throw shooting! CAVS I can understand being tired because of the back to back to back games but I really don't understand the bad free throws. It's a concentration thing plus it's you and the basket one-on-one! Please realize if they don't get better it will come back to hount you guys and you guys are too good to worry about free throws! Defense of course stepped it up again and really helped you win the game! Make all those missed bunnies we beat Logan by 25,make all those missed free throws we beat Logan by 35-40! Good game by Caleb(jumper was on). The Angles kid from Logan is a gamer and he is only a Junior! STAY FOCUSED CAVS one more tomorrow night see you there!

bvmv,

Tough night getting out of work on time. Got home in time to get Pat and Jim on WBEX. As I sent a text to one of the parents and said "Double Ugly", he came back with "Triple Ugly". However, he stated, it is a win on the road in the league. That is always huge.

IMO, the kids are a bit tired. Coach K. alluded to it in his postgame comments. Tired legs lead to missed shots and turnovers. We were 7-28 in the first half, but bounced back with a 13-22 in the second half. I thought Dawes, Knights and Smith took over early in the 3rd and stretched out the lead to 16. That was the game.

Angle is a beast and we have to deal with him on the gridiron and the hard court again next year.

Now we have two more before we get the last league contest. WBEX is reporting that if Ironton wins Tuesday, we have to beat Z-Ville to play for the championship. Sounds like the tiebreaker is all ready settled. Not sure how. Hopefully someone will post what the tiebreaker is in case we do tie. In any event, as Coach K. would say, we need to take care of business or maybe we did not deserve to play for the Championship.

GO CAVS!!!

Tonight was a very ugly game.I still don't understand the coach. Why doesn't he let some of the other kids get some playing time that sit on the bench. They practice every night just like the starters do give them some playing time and let those youngmen get some rest.3 kids sat on the bench at the end of the game and didn't get in.I'm sure they can play some ball or they wouldn't be on the team.To me if they can get some experience on the floor it probably help out in the long run. They are the future of the cavalier program.I'm just a fan of the cavaliers and watch what happens from the bleachers.I'm sure it's very frustrating to those youngmen who just sit and watch.

Ravens, You must be a relative to one of the young men you are talking about. This is not intermurals! If that is what you want you need to sign up at the YMCA this week. Mostly likely he cannot run an offense, play defense or perform at the varsity level as of yet. But you're probably right, coach should have pulled his starting five after the 3rd quarter like he did against Jackson and Portsmouth to let the young guys play & give up 24 pts (jackson) 20 (portsmouth) in the 4th so Logan can come back & win the game. IF you have any idea what your talking about you would know that a young player can only play 5 quarters per night and most of the kids already play 3 or 4 qrts at the jv level. One last thing.. The Cavs coaching staff must know what they're doing since they are the defending D2 State Champs! We have won the last 12 out of 13 games this year so you must be not a true Cavalier supporter and only worried about JONNY playing in the game.......... Go CAVS!!!!!!
