Huntington at Waverly Saturday night
Huntington at Waverly Saturday night
Last year Huntington blew Waverly out by 30 points. It will be interesting to see how tonight unfolds. The Hawhee palace will be rocking. Anytime Uhrig and his booming voice is in the building the place rocks.

Re: Huntington at Waverly Saturday night
Both teams had hard fought losses last night, tired legs could be a factor...I'll go with the Tigers at home 66-61...
Re: Huntington at Waverly Saturday night
I just wonder if this game will actually turn into a run and gun tempo game since it is a non league game for both. Wait you have to press to get turnovers Coach Robertson.

Nice win for the Tigers. Avenged the 30 point embarrassment from last year.
Re: Huntington at Waverly Saturday night
Quality win for Waverly. Hunnington has a nice team and is well coached. Waverly is playing with more confidence and aggression. Coach Robertson and his staff do a real nice job and hopefully will be around for a long time.
Re: Huntington at Waverly Saturday night
It was ugly but we'll take the win.
Waverly lead 19-11 after one and 29-24 at the break. The Tigers lead 43-37 after three.
Huntington came back in the 4th and had the lead a couple times.
Waverly hit their FT's down the stretch (something they didn't do in the first three periods.
The Tigers hit 10-14 in the 4th while going only 8-19 in the first three for a total of 18-33 (still not good).
Martin lead the Tigers with 26, Kretzer 17 (4 threes), Roback 8, Lundin 6, Remy 2, Kelly 2.
Magill lead the Huntsmen with 21, Cottrill 19, Deal 4, Turner 4, Borland 4
The Huntsmen hit 10-16 from the line.

Re: Huntington at Waverly Saturday night
There's only one team I like to see get beaten more than the Michigan Wolverines.....and, that is the Huntington Huntsmen. Can't remember the last time I rooted for them to win, perhaps maybe that's cause I was too young to know any better.
Not a pretty win for the Tigers, but a valid win for the Tigers (12-6).
Hey, we'll take bragging rights for a year.
You can generally expect a "T" from that group of officials (who call one nearly every game). Just wasn't sure who was going to get it. Great move by Coach Uhrig in picking-up the "T" in attempt to gain more urgency in his Huntsmen.
Good Job Tigers; GREAT WIN for the Seniors!

Yep 2010 ugly game, I liked starting Robertson even though I know it was senior night but heck you have Martin, Kretzer and Roback bringing the ball up anyway go big.
Foul shooting dont get me started on that again, but the positive was Lundin and Kretzer 4-4 down the stretch 7-9 for the game I believe, 77% for high school is pretty darn good. I really like Kretzers routine stands off the line waits for the ball doesnt get leglocked, whoever showed him that little trick kudos to them they knew what they were doing.
2 tough games next week Chilli and Burg good luck Tigers.

craqzymidgest,
I thought that starting line-up worked well too. Maybe go to it more often.
Kretzer has amazing calm for a TRUE freshman. He's actually a young freshman in age.
Lundin is probably are most consistent free throw shooter. He has been a nice addition to the Tiger team this year. We need to keep him out of foul trouble early.

Well, we know it wasn't Coach Robertson or the anyone else on his staff since they know nothing about shooting, right?

Re: Huntington at Waverly Saturday night
No he was doing that at P.V. in jr high. was just pointing out a good routine especially for the end of the game under pressure. Take away the 7-9 the team shot 11-24
but if you remember I didnt say they COULDNT I said that there was nine kids shooting nine ways and that there isnt nine ways to shoot a free throw.
So you want to be a smart elleck huh, ok thats cool, yeah your the one who believes that you can tweak bad shooting form without putting them in proper position, uh huh.
I ONLY WANT OUR KIDS TO HAVE THE BEST and if thats wrong so be it. Smart Elleck huh well kids will be kids

on to adult conversation yeah, 2010 they really controlled the boards with Robinson in there, might help them in the chilli game coming up.
Yes I agree Victor has been, and the kid is a serious athlete we need to hold him back lol, seems to be a really good kid also, can the coaches find out if he has some brothers who want to come to america
