This game should be a dandy & I'm sure the Warriordome will be rockin'!
Marietta coming off a win last evening at home vs. Gallia (was great to see GAHS!!
) and Warren coming off a 5pt. loss at home to a solid Ironton team, but that means nothing when these two teams meet! Always great intensity!
All I can say is it might be
Valentine's Day...but there's no love lost between these cross town rivals and no better place to take your sweetheart on a Saturday night than to a game like this one!! (Of course an early dinner at Davinci's first!!)
Happy Valentine's Day y'all...and
LET'S PLAY SOME HOOPS!!

Marietta totally outworked the Warriors, owning all but the third quarter. Evan Brockmeier lit a spark in the Tigers at the begining of the game by outhustling everyone on the floor and Marietta rode that to a big halftime lead. The Warriors showed some life in the third quarter cutting the lead to six but Marietta took over again in the 4th by outhustling Warren for loose balls and beating them down the court every possession. MHS was up by about 14 with 2 minutes remaining.
Warren's JV's have come together and are exciting to watch, winning big.

Looked as though the warriors were making a comeback in the 4th but it just wasn't meant to be.

It was ugly, no doubt.
Warren folded, even after the nice little 3rdQ finishing run.
The team looks like there is no chemistry on the floor, and like they need to spend more than 20 minutes in shooting warmups each gamenight. I was really surprised that Warren couldn't work the glass any better, its one of the few times this year we've been outrebounded.

Really, that was almost as embarassing as Cincy's performance in the Orange Bowl.

There's something that's taught at Warren and obviously isn't at Marietta, it's called class. We win or lose with it. Our players, coaches, students, and fans take losing hard, and we love beating Marietta. In fact, we beat them twice last year, but we didn't criticize the other teams performance, fans, exct. because we knew we could be on the other end in 12 months. Take notes.
This year of experience for Fivecoait, Venham, and Cunningham will lead to many victories for the blue and white down the road.
Of course not all Marietta fans are bad, not all Warren fans are good....this is a great rivalry, i just wish Marietta students would stay off here and go celebrate instead of trying to start arguments every time we play....go paint a rock or something.

well, we have cameras at our school, and the people who painted the windows and toilet papered the trees are probably going to get caught. And i wouldn't be talking about class too much..warrens isnt anything spectacular.

Marietta JVs 48
WHSwarrior
U missed one of our technical foul shots that we made at the end.
Jv has won 7 of the last 8 games. would have been 8 for 8 if it hadn't been for Mr. HOMER at Logan.
Warrens future looks Bright.
