I know this is super early and im not looking ahead.....but this team this year was supposed to be one of the better teams around and have just had a horrible season.....next year they only lose 1 senior in Eric thomson....and will be gaining from the (13-2) J.V squad what I believe to be 2 very helpful players in colin Lajoye and Jeremy Blankenship I believe Jeremy will be a starter next year and he has one of the cleanest shots around and plays good D..and Colin lajoye is scrappy and plays very quick....There will also be Hall, Crabtree, and leslie, all 3 of which will be seniors next year and kenny crabtree will be a jr. and hopefully he puts on a little weight that way he can be more of a force down low....all im asking is if you think next years Northwest squad will play to their potential and be one of the better teams around or if they will surcome to the pressure and hype again?
P.S--Once again I know this is very early so if you're going to post a statement telling me this is way to early to be talking about this "DO NOT"..im not asking if they will win the s.o.c, im asking if they will be a better team and play like they should next year?

It seems to me that the Mohawks have been in many games that, due to talent level, maybe they shouldn't have been. I feel they can only get better.

They might be better next year, but Oak Hill, Wheelersburg, Valley, and Minford all don't lose much, if any at all. It will tough for them to climb much higher than 5th place. The SOC II will once again be pretty solid in the top 1/2 of the league.

Oak Hill loses Borden and the big Hale kid.....that is more than much.
Minford loses Smith, Price, and their center...again more than much.
Not sure about Valley.
Burg has their entire team back.

Northwest should be improved next year.......Hank Leslie is back (bad news for my Trojans), Kraig Crabtree returns also (23 points vs. Portsmouth), and the Mohawks have a nice JV squad with some freshmen.......Coach Scarberry will get the most out of his kids like he did at Rock Hill.........NHS should move up in the SOC II standings in 2009-10.

Pre-season I had picked Northwest to finish in the top 3 of SOC II but it didn't materialize. I think the mohawks will be even stronger next season which should put them in the race with the suprise young teams this year(Burg, Valley) while the others lose too many of their best and experienced players. Minford and Oak Hill will lose too much unless Oak Hill has a good recruiting year.
