2-20-09 - FINAL ! Meigs 78 - Belpre 58

Meigs has won 3 in a row now ! Seem to be peaking at the right time . They defeated Alexander last week by 10 points and now a 20 point win over Belpre. They are playing more as a team and leading scorer from last season Clay Bolin , is healthy now !
Good Luck Marauders
They will play Jackson first round of sectional tourny !

Wow..Great win for the Marauders. They really seem to be playing really good together right now. They have been one of the most athletic teams all season and seem to be finally putting it together at the right time. I'm not sure I'd want to play them early in the tourney right now. Good luck Marauders and Coaching staff. Anybody have stats?

Meigs is at Vinton County on Saturday night for a TVC-Ohio makeup game. Regular-season finale for both and Senior Night at VCHS.
Should make for an interesting game. Both teams look to keep the momentum going headed into tournaments.

This will be a very interesting game, based on the last 3 or 4 games that each of these teams have played in the regular season.
If Meigs is truly "HOT", VC is ripe for the picking.
If the Meigs wins are a facade, VC runs away. Gonna be interesting to see how this one turns out.

Anyone want to give Coach Ewing crap now? Looks like hes doing a pretty darn good job this year.

Personally I'd love to have him back in Belpre.

you can have him back in belpre. oh boy 3 games in a row i think you need to thank the players for this not the coach

Steely, VC is the better team but many of their wins have not been runaways.
They are a very solid team with a very good coach. Many people picked them to stuggle some this year but they are a solid group. just because they are Jr. class heavy in their starting lineup.
The only team that was blowing division opponents away was Alex and they couldnt get it done against VC and of course Meigs this week.
Maybe I should have went to McArthur tonight instead of the girls game.
could have been an interesting game.

Don't agree meigsfan41. Coach Ewing works hard for this team. Everyone is always looking for someone better to Coach. Funny how there are others on this thread who would like to have him Coach their team. One thing is certain no matter where a person coaches there are people who like him/her and people who don't. That's just coaching. I know it takes a special type person to coach this day and age. I'm glad some still want to do it....I wouldn't. And I certainly don't want to make this thread about Coach Ewing. Good luck Meigs in the tourney.
