Piketon versus Ironton 3/8
Should be a great time and great game next week. Rematch from last season. Always special to play against my alma mater...will be fun to see friends again...can't believe it's been 15 years since I played for the tigers as we surprised so many along the way!
However, for this night, my heart belongs to the Redstreaks!

Re: Piketon versus Ironton 3/8
This will be an intense contest. I have seen both teams this year and this game could be quite physical. I am anxious to read some of the comments on here. Both teams are coached very well. We see Ironton twice a year, so I am very familiar with their style of play. I don't get to see the RedStreak nation play much, but Coach Lisath is a winner and the kids will be ready.
Piketon may have physical more superior athletes then most of the D3 schools in the Southeast. However, Lamb will bring his lunchpail and do battle with the RedStreaks. It will be interesting also, how Piketon defends Coach Lafon's schuffle offense.
IMO, this one is a tough one to pick. Some forget, but Ironton had Columbus Brookhaven on the ropes back in December, while Piketon took care of business with Columbus Mifflin. A rarity to see two Southeast schools tangle with the likes of the Columbus City League schools, but both held their own. I believe this game could be high scoring and if Ironton's guards can knock down the 3-ball, then this will be a game.
GO CAVS!!!

Ironton did not play Piketon last year. They beat Peebles and lost to Fairland.

After watching the Waverly sectional I think Piketon was the class of it, very strong team they get a little out of control at times but they can play, lots of weapons.
Good luck redstreaks

Man I don't know about that Crazymidgets. North Adams and Portsmouth were pretty impressive. We'll see how Piketon fairs against a well coached Ironton group

Jeff Lisath
still has that Trojan blood in him, I bet he is pumped for this game.

Hey it's still Ironton! So I can't bring myself to root for them just yet.
Definetly not against a fellow TROJAN WARRIOR in coach Lisath.
If you beat Piketon then I will root for the Itown boys the rest of the way.
However I do wish every team safe travels to the Convo, and all the other respective venues.

Tom Kelley. You may say your "heart" is with the Streaks, but I know the Fighting Tiger heart still beats strong inside of you!
I still cant believe this is a district semi final game, as i believe these may be the top two teams in the district? Oh well. i think the winner may become district champs!
Good Luck Fighting Tigers.

Piketon is playing at a high level right now. Dont know much about the Tigers this year, other than they are athletic and Lamb is a player. It was nice to bump into Mr. Rowe last football season, hadnt seen him since my college days! Last year, Piketon went into Ironton and pulled out a victory, should be a fun one to watch. Its basketball thirty!!!!!!!

You know under your Piketon Staff shirt will be your 1994 Ironton Final Four Basketball shirt. We have another Tommy that likes to shoot 3's with funky mechanics and it reminds me of another Tommy on that Final Four team. Good luck to you only Coach Kelley and may the Fighting Tigers be victorious!
GO TIGERS!!!
