For years past, the winning team would take down the nets. That didn't happen this year. Why?

It didnt happen at any other places that I know either. Did hear alot of people complaining about it.

I personally think that this is stupid. It has always happened and it gives the kids something to remember. I believe they should cut them down.

This has to be somewhat disappointing to the kids. I'm sure they were looking forward to it.

Last Friday at Jackson, Alexander and Peake cut down the nets after their Sectional Win.

The last few times that Wheelersburg has won the sectional they haven't cut down the nets either, so it's not something that just happened this season. The Burg won 4 in a row I believe and I don't remember them cutting down the nets for any of them. They did however cut down the nets for the district and regional wins.

IMHO, nets shouldn't be cut down after Sectional titles. Many teams only have to play one game now. If you want to cut the nets down, win a District Championship.

Were they sectional championship games Tuesday night at Wellston? Last Saturday night's champs cut them down at Jackson.
