Congrats to the many fine young men who were recognized by the Southeast District. I am proud to see all five of the Chillicothe Cavalier Starters get some sort of recognition (Dawes and Knights 1st Team, Smith 2nd Team, Turner & Van Volkinburg Hon Mention). Also, kudo's to Harrison Martin of Waverly, who as a soph makes 1st Team All-District. Quite an accomplishment.

GO CAVS!!!

I would also like to give my congratulations to Kraig Unger and Dave Young. Kraig has been an absolute pleasure to watch this season not only with his skill on the basketball court but with the class he displays on and off the court. Congrats to all the SHL players who made all district.

This happens about every year to at least one team. It all comes down to the numbers. They only take the top 15 vote-getters and I guess ties (since there were 16 this year). There are 10 teams in the league. So if an average to poor team in the league doesnt have a dominant player there is always that chance of not getting anyone. Out of curiosity, how many players did Kyle nominate for all-league. That might have had something to do with it as well. I figure he nominated the two you mentioned and forced some coaches to make a tough decision on which one to select because you know other coaches are'nt going to pick both of them.

Congratulations to NA and the SHL. Great to see NA get all 5 starters on. Thought Manchester might get more recognition but great recognition for the SHL.

They will play in the SHL senior all-star game for sure. Not sure how they score the all-district teams (maybe you get HM if you recieve one vote) but for some time now it seems to be easier to make HM-District than to make all league.
