JJ, maybe you can bring "Team Corner Pub". I think we could put together a team that would knock the snot out of some of these youngsters. LOL

I have my team together:

1) JJ "Just give me the darn ball" Hale
2) Pete "Spud" Bopp
3) Charlie "The Tomahawk" Johnson
4) Ron "The Round Mound of Rebound" Gillum

And by rule we have to have at least one complete dud on the team so we drafted..........

5) Jim "Mr. Clean" Slone - who will be texting live updates from the shootout during our games. That's why we will be playing primarily zone defense. Spud and Tomahawk insist on our typical 32 minutes of hell style of run and gun basketball that we play but since we took the special kid we will adjust.

Also, "The Cordial One” St. Norman of Portland will handle the head coaching duties!

Spud has agreed to feed everyone chili at the Pub prior to tip off.

Good Luck to the other teams!

JJ, I just got finished texting with Coach Slone. Because of the Oaks hectic schedule following their state championship, he feels his game is not quite worthy to compete. However, playing with those 4 stiffs mentioned, he would definitely be the main go to guy. Therefore, he is prepared to hold out the entire season, and see what offers come along next year. Coach Slone felt that a worthy person to fill his position would be the legendary Carl Knox.

The only time Coach Slone is a "go to guy" is if you are buying a t-shirt. Otherwise, he is a waste of space on the basketball court. Carl would have been a shoe in for this Dream Team. However, he is still recovering from a shoulder injury suffered earlier this year at an Oak Hill practice.

We have 2 spots left in the shootout. Please contact me asap if you want in. You can rest assured that the same officials we have at every home game will be here for the shootout to give everyone the shaft.
