Athens Shrine Preview

Post by highspeed »

The annual 2009-2010 Athens High School Shrine Preview will be held Nov. 27th.

4:30 - Alexander vs Eastern
5:15 - Meigs vs Wahama
6:00 - Belpre vs Trimble
6:45 - Athens vs Miller
7:30 - Vinton vs Southern
8:15 - Wellston vs Federal Hocking
9:00 - Nelsonville-York vs South Gallia

The gate money goes for a great cause, try and make it out and support the kids and shriners. The first teams listed will be designated the home team on the scoreboard and wear white uniforms.

glad i don't have to drive home to SG after a 900 start from the preview. And anyone who has been to these knows that they never run behind schedule.

Looks like it is TVC OHIO vs TVC HOCKING, with Belpre on the Ohio side. Was Waterford unable to attend or were they the odd man out with the uneven number of teams?

WOW what a tuff schedule that would be. You have to hand it to Miller though. First Alexander drops Trimble to pick them up, now Athens is talking about picking them up. Miller never was afraid to play anyone.

I always thought Athens played the last game.

I'm not sure why I try to explain. Athens has nothing to do with this great night other than providing the site. We were supposed to play Wahama, but they will be in the football playoffs in West Virginia. Miller was substituted in their place. Not sure why Athens isn't playing the last game, but I always wished we would get to play at a different time slot. Most people are tired and just want to go home as the night gets later.

Trimble folks should be more concerned about how they are going to be able to sustain and keep their school for the next ten years as opposed to who Athens is playing in the preview.

Waterford runs their own preview that is why they are not in it.

WOW Timmy! I had almost forgot how touchy those Athens people are about their schedule. Come on guys you know that football schedule is above top secret. Now for Trimble in the next 10 years will probably just do what they have for the last 40 or so when Athens people were saying they wonder how Trimble is staying open. Thanks for asking though.

Heavy D,

If one does not combat the ignorance that abounds in your posts than that ignorance proliferates and some of us just don't want to catch it.

I think it depends on if Wahama is still in the playoffs 78.

HP- I think the FH Coach is Chris Murray.
