Does Belpre have the horses to start 3-0?

Belpre better come out ready to run and ready to play hard. First TVC-Ohio game of the year, would be big if Belpre could be 1-0 in conference play and be a big game on deciding how they play vs Warren the following day. Would be nice to have both Belpre and Warren undefeated when the Warriors travel to the Eagles Nest. But, i think this will be a hard fought game, Belpre has to contol Jacob Well and Meigs has to control Tate, if neither one of those players are controlled, then it could be a long night for either team. I say Belpre comes out on top in another nail buter.

Belpre 68
Meigs 65

After watching Meigs vs Alexander I think Belpre just has too many weapons for Meigs to contend with. With Tate, Parsons, Waderker, Miller and Slattery Belpre has too many shooters for Meigs to sit back in the 2-3 zone. Also at games end Meigs had a very hard time keeping up with Alexander's foot speed. That's a huge problem because Belpre is much faster and better finishers than the Spartans.
I only hope Belpre is not looking past Meigs because the Eagles play rival Warren on Wednesday night.
I like the Eagles in this one

i agree...meigs can hang with anyone in the first half...but they just dont have the depth on the bench to compete all 4 quarters

Belpre's speed, pressure defense and depth will prove to be too much for Meigs in this one. Eagles get there first TVC Ohio win by 8-10 points. GO EAGLES!!!

Sims has not had a break out game yet this year and Tate seems in the the groove and Parsons has found his stroke. Sims will have a huge night and Belpre rolls against Meigs. Just hope the boys don't get homered by the zebras. Busy week for the Eagles, can only be nice to the school from Vincent for 2 more days.

GO EAGLES!!!

just lookin, parsons hasnt really been stroking it. belpre has what maybe 4 three pointers this year if that? but i completly agree with your statements about sims! meigs has no inside presience. ill take belpre by 13 in this one.

Parsons hit 3 three's against Waterford and Tate hit one. This team doesn't need to take a bunch of 3 point shots because all the scorers, Tate, Sims, Parsons and Miller have an outstanding midrange game. They will hit the outside shot but this team is much more comfortable attacking the glass.

Belpre 78, Waterford 68

Belpre 26 7 23 22 - 78

Waterford 13 21 18 16 - 68

BELPRE (2-0)

Eric Waderker 3 0-0 7, Pat Slattery 0 0-2 0, Markie Tate 9 6-9 25, Channing Parsons 4 0-0 10, Reggie Simms 8 1-3 17, Josh Campbell 4 4-12 12, Rashawn Miller 1 3-4 5, Tyler Leasure 1 0-0 2. Totals: 30 14-30 68. 3pt goals: Waderker 1, Tate 1, Parsons 2.

WATERFORD (0-2)

Alex McCutcheon 2 0-0 5, Chad Offenberger 8 3-4 19, Levi Porter 4 0-2 8, Aaron Miller 2 0-0 5, Derek Ginther 7 3-3 17, Levi McCutcheon 1 1-2 3, Tate Lang 0 3-4 3, Taylor Pottmeyer 1 1-2 3, Jacob Biedel 2 0-0 5. TOTALS: 27 11-17 68. 3pt goals: AMcCutcheon 1, Miller 1, Biedel 1.

Actually Parsons had 2 threes and 2 twos for ten points.Tate and Waderker had the other two threes. You are right gotgame Belpre hasn't had to rely on three point shots even though they have the shooters to make them. They have the team to score off turnovers, fast breaks and inside. If they get in a situation that they have to have threes all of their perimeter players can shoot them effectively.

Would like to see Belpre's free throw percentage start to increase. Close games can be won or lost at the charity line.

LETS GO EAGLES!!!

The eagles have a very tough week this week. Meigs, Warren, Vinton Co, and Marietta. This stretch of games is very competitive and show what they are really made of. I dont see Meigs scoring much vs Belpre. Intense D by Waderker will frustrate the Marauders and tell mewhen someone stops state from scoring double digits. Belpre by about 14
