SOC 2
SOC 2
Now that we have had a chance to see the teams play a game or two and have seen who is and isnt injured, how does everyone see the SOC 2 shaking out this year. As for me, I see Burg, Waverly and Oak Hill fighting for 1-3. Valley, Northwest and SW fighting it out for 4-6. Minford and West at 7-8. There are a lot of quality teams in the league this year and I think every game will be a tough one. Anyone could beat just about anyone else on a given night. I think SW will be the Valley team of last year and really shake things up in this division.
1. Burg
2. Waverly
3. Oak Hill
4. Valley
5. SW
6. Northwest
7. Minford
8. West

4. Valley
5. SW
6. Northwest
7. Minford
8. West

Re: SOC 2
It is early and way too early to tell who is the serious contenders in the league. Usually, Burg and Oak Hill struggle early and always seem to peak just at the right time in the tournament. This is how I would think the league will pan out:
1-2: Burg & Oak Hill (top dogs until someone beats them). NW and Minford about won, but didnt.
3: Waverly: most talented team in division, but not exactly the most disciplined team either.
4. Valley: scary (and streaky) team when Yates/Utley get hot.
5-7: Northwest, SW, Minford: probably the road wins between these 3 will determine their standing in the league.
8: west: still not there

Re: SOC 2
I like how everyone is still keeping the jeeps in the bottom. They have not reached their potential yet either, they are still improving. They get in the lane way too easy and finish. That will give anyone problems. Just need to rebound better.

Re: SOC 2
Way too early to call it. Burg should be better than last season. Oak Hill and Valley doesn't seem to be . Northwest has the players but has shown they can collapse. Waverly looks pretty good. Minford and Webster seem to be scrappier than most predicted. West has a long way to go. Overall... who knows. Last weekend showed us we weren't too far from a couple of surprises with NW/Burg and Minford/Oaks so it might play out very interestingly this season.

I think this is going to be a fun season to watch. No clear favorite. Everyone has to bring it every night.

Re: SOC 2
Wins at home are crucial if not imperative to compete in the SOC II and a couple of wins onthe road don't hurt either. Waverly looked tough vs. Valley and at the Convo. I think alot will be learned Friday night when Burg comes to Waverly.
But right now: The champs are the Oaks until they get beat that won't change.
