Based on the way both teams have started the year...id have to give the edge to VC. It will be the Vikings first home game of the year as they have traveled to Paint Valley and played John Glenn at the Convo. The Vikings defend their home court well and i see them picking up win number 3 in as many chances.

Dundas, I have to agree. I think VC will win as well. Im interested as to see who will win the battle between the Guthrie cousins. Id like to be a fly on the wall at that christmas dinner. LOL!
I look for VC to win this one fairly easily. Too much fire power in McArthur for the Tomcats. If the Vikes stay out of foull trouble I see a 20-30 point win.

I'd be a little surprised to see a spread that large. Trimble will play you hard for 32 minutes. The Guthrie factor should be interesting, that's for sure!

My experience at watching the Guthries is that they seem pretty good at being able to keep basketball from causing family rifts. But they will play each other just as hard as any other opponent. If anyone was to ever pick a single family to say "This is SE Ohio Basketball", I would have to nominate them.

Trimble played VC tough last year in Glouster as VC came away with only a 7 point win..This year however...if VC gets out to a quick start like they did against Paint Valley, they should win big. Id say with it being the home opener, VC will be pumped up for this one. VC by 18-23.

The Guthrie factor should be interesting.....
It always is... but basketball is basketball...family is forever!! It only makes each Guthrie play up to their ability.... but I am sure that is a lot of smack around the family dinner table..... Good luck to both Dylan and Noah!!

I think the Viking D will play solid tonight against the Cats. I would be surprised if VC gives up more than 45 points. VC could break this game open if they are hitting on offense and control the ball better than against JG. Ill take VC 68-45.

If I had to pick a winner I would also have to go with the Vikings.... they are a more seasoned team.
