JAN 8 - Clay at Eastern SOC I

The Panthers will travel to Beaver to take play in the Eagle's Nest on January 8th. The Panthers have seemed to struggle a little bit this year and Eastern should contend for the SOC I title.
The Eagles should win this game. What is everyone's thoughts and predictions?

Does the concession stand at Beaver still sell fried squirrel?
Justin McBee has his own special recipe for them and they are delicious. There is an open debate about where he gets them from.....East Jackson or Red Hollow. I think he gets them from Posey Ridge and just doesn't let anyone know about his secret spot.

Eagles by 10. Havent heard alot about the Panthers this year, but nothing has been good.

I have no promblem with Eastern...I actually follow both boys and girls basketball at eastern, and actually people do come on other threads and do that. (I do regret that i did)....As far as this thread eastern wins easy over clay....

Chad has done very well to this point.He has a very good basketball IQ for a freshman and is imo the best ball handler on the team.He is going to be a very good player for Eastern the next 4 years.I believe he already has scored double digits in a game.He makes players around him better.Very unselfish...Im very impressed with his size as well,he is built like a 17 year old.You can tell the kid works hard.The Eagles will be in good shape at the PG position for yhe next few years.

Some clay fans are predicting a victory over the Eagles.....even though they are playing in the Eagles Nest?
Has something changed with the Clay team or is Eastern getting no respect?

I don't think there is any disrespect by saying you think your team will win. That is why they play the games. There isn't much change in either team from last year from what I understand. Clay played 3 or 4 sophs last year who are now juniors and only lost one senior who was a true starter. I understand Eastern is about the same team from last year. So with that said, in last years two game Eastern won at home 70 - 48. Clay returned the favor with a 55 - 50 win at home. So why would you be surprised if some people were picking Clay.

New Boston..........2-3..........0-2
Notre Dame..........0-5..........0-2
Yeah, you are right. I don't see much difference except the records for the two teams. They both played Minford......Clay got drilled by 30 points and Eastern beat them by about 20. They both played Western....Clay lost and Eastern has beat them twice this year. I don't know why I would be surprised.
