Chesapeake High School will be hosting our first annual Beasts of the Southeast Invitational Tournament on Saturday, January 16th, at Chesapeake High School. All day admission for the event is $7. The lineup is as follows:
2 pm--South Point vs. Eastern Brown
4 pm--Racine Southern vs. North Adams
6 pm--Huntington Prep vs. Quality Education
8 pm--Chesapeake vs. Huntington Ross
Quality Education Academy features Quincy Miller--one of the top recruits in the country in the class of 2011. We hope that a lot of Southeastern Ohio fans can make it out for this great day of basketball.

...
I've penciled in the Beast of the Southeast @ the Peake on the Pfloyd Tour calendar ... good lineup of games ... will give me a chance to see Southern for the first time (other than the Athens Preview) in action ... also want to get another look at the Peake - last time was at the Convo vs Waverly earlier this season ... wow the Peake on Saturday the 16th, Wellston on Sunday and Monday ... may have to just get a room in Jackson to cut down on the drive time LOL ...

One reason is that we're the host school. Another reason is that teams like to go where there is a winning tradition.

Tight squeeze? Oh, yeah, cause I guess thousands will come from North Carolina? Huntington prep doesnt have a home base of fans either. Should be about the same crowd you get from a good OVC game. Some great basketball and a great idea. Way to go Coach Davis. Hope all goes well and the Poiinters and the Peake win one for the Conference!

I know for a fact that there will be a ton of fans come to watch the Huntington prep game, they had the fieldhouse pretty full, not packed but there was a pretty large attendance there.
but oh well I'll probably come watch the Hunt. Prep game.

I'm not sure which Huntington Prep you were watching. I have been to two of their games. The first one was lucky to have 100 people there. The second one, against Findlay at the fieldhouse maybe 500 to 600. Course it looks more packed than that cause the seats are so small and so close together that you cant breathe. Larger people have to sit on the bleachers there. The only reason there was that many people at that game is because all the local HS games were cancelled. And the Peake gym is plenty big enough. There was plenty of room left over during the fairland game the other night. If you call ahead they may reserve a seat for you JL. haha
