Last year, Clay went to Symmes Valley and beat them on their home court then SV turned around and beat us at our home court. This year we have beat them on our court again, so I hope we can pull out a win. Good Luck Panthers! Keep your turnovers down and play some good D.

Symmes Valley by 10. If Valentine don't play, Symmes Valley by 20.

Why would he not play? Is he hurt?

Not sure. Had to sit out Clay's last game against Western per the Clay/Western game thread. Don't know any details. Maybe the Clay faithful will comment as to whether or not he is playing?

This game is about as big as it gets. Both teams are sitting with 3 losses in the SOC. Whoever loses this game would basically put them out of the hunt for the SOC title. This is a type of game the could make or break a teams season. This will be very interesting to see how it plays out. W/out Valentine, it will be tough for clay to pull off the win. Once again I'm going with an upset pick though. I say Clay over SV by 3 in a close one throughout at SV.

Unless the Eagles completely collapse the rest of the season it looks like everyone is in the hunt for second. As far as this game I say SV by 6.

Very costly for his team. Hope the young man learns a valuable lesson. He is a fine player.

I dont understand why people think they are going to loose by 20 or so just because they are missing one player. Yes he is a good player but not having them does not make them 20 points worse

just because valentine doesn't average 20 points a game doesn't mean clay couldn't still lose by 20. you have to take into consideration 1) the amount of points he scores for the team 2) his ability to bring the ball down the court (which i think is a weakness of clay this year) 3) his ability to find the open man for points and 4) the team is used to having him on the floor (if clay had went all year without valentine, it would be different... but the fact is they need valentine to maintain the flow they have developed this season). you see, valentine's points aren't all that play into everyone's predicitions of how bad clay will get beat. i don't think it will be by 20, but i do say SV by 13.

Vikings coming off a tough loss to East Tuesday night. I say they come out to play with fire in their eyes in this one* SV BY 14.

It was predicted that Western would beat them by 15 or 20 without Valentine, but they only won by 6 and that was due to foul shots at the end of the game. It does hurt Clay losing their scoring and assist leader, but if you look at their stats there are 5 boys avg around 10 ppg, so they can fill in his spot. They just have to stay in control at the end of the game. That is what cost them to lose the Western game, they got out of control. Good luck Panthers at Symmes Valley. You will have everybody back Tuesday when Eastern comes to you court, so you need to make a statement tomorrow night.

Remember this, the guy who takes his place may not score as much as he does, but defense should still be there regardless, so hold SV under 50 points and you've got a chance.
