Vc beat the Muskies at Convo back in December, 2nd game of their season.
John Glenn orbited past the Generals twice this season.
Should be a good game.

Very surprising, so few (almost none) posts on the VC/Sheridan matchup. Is that because Sheridan gets so little face time on this forum or because the game is going to be that close?

I think its because no one really knows much about Sheridan...Had they played Athens I think it wouldve created more talk...but If we know nothing about them, we really cant discuss anything...lol Good luck to the VIKINGS tonight @ 8:00!!! Logan Elm/New Lex will start at 6:15.

Sheridan, I think is like 15-4. 2 losses to Tri Valley & 2 Losses to John Glenn.
MVL has nine teams, if they play round robin conference games they only have 4 non-conference games per team.

I'm going with Vinton Co. tonight. Haven't seen Sheridan but feel VC is just too good for Sheridan. Represent the TVC Vikings!!!

Good luck VC.. I think they can handle sheridan if they play like they can!!! I will be there 2nite. A tough loss to jackson will push us I believe.

Here is what you need to know....
Sheridan is 15-4. They have only played five teams with winning records this season. They have won the last three against poor quality opponents without their leading scorer, junior guard Anthony Crane. He tore ligaments in his ankle two weeks ago and is done for the season. Since then they have relied almost exclusively on sophomore 3 man Jacob Horsely. He has been averaging around 25 per game since Anthony went down.
Sheridan is BIG. 6'3'' junior Troy Sweeney, 6'2'' junior cj myers, 6'2'' sophomore jacob horsely, 6'6'' junior josh busby. They play six people, maybe seven, but doubtful. They have NO ball handlers and NO outside threat. BUT.....
They are very good in the post and mid-range. They play excellent man defense and are very very disciplined. I am not sure what VC does, but if they press.....it could get ugly.
I am predicting a very close game.....too close for me to call.

Sounds like VC should try a press.....or the above poster is pulling a leg as they might handle pressure great.

Sounds like they'll have more size than Jackson did for Guthrie.....but that may not matter either.

As the record show...it will likely be avery good game.

Thanks for that info, General. With that, I will say that this may very well be a low scoring game. The 3 major factors that I see is (1) Can VC have a decent night on the freethrows? (2) Will Sheridan be able to adapt to VCs ability to change up offensive and defensive formations quickly? (3)Who will dominate rebounds? Sheridans size may give VC some fits on the rebound end. If VC comes out and can keep pace with Sheridan for the first 3 qtrs., IMO, they will pull away with the win.

I'd look for a game similar to the John Glenn game...Just as you said SC...It was tight for 3 quarters and VC pulled away late. Good luck tonight Vikes!!! Win this one so I can see the next one LIVE!!!
