The rest of the TVC Hocking is weak this year. I guess we will see how strong the SOC Eastern is when they play Southern.

Re: SOC VS TVC
Symmes Valley (2nd best SOC team) just destroyed Trimble (3rd best TVC team) by 30 points. Eastern Pike handled Waterford by 15 and was told they played poorly.
I have seen several TVC games (follow Southern because of Coach Caldwell) and around 5 SOC I games. IMHO I think the SOC 1 is stronger this season on the bottom end of the league. We should know who is stronger at the top end when Eastern Pike plays Southern and Symmes Valley plays Eastern Reedsville.
Should be some good games.

Trimble is not very good. Neither is Waterford. If you are basing your opinion on your two top teams against those two TVC opponents I think you will get a rude awakening when you play Reedsville and Racine. Also, FH hung with Reedsville and Racine, so I would say they are the 3rd best team in the Hocking, not Trimble. That is just IMO though.

That is my point. Waterford beat Fed Hock the 2nd time around and played Southern relatively tough (around 10-12 points both games). After seeing everyone but Reedsville, I think this year the TVC is weaker top to bottom that the SOC 1. CLay, Green, and even East are stronger than Trimble and Company. Now, we will see who is stronger at the top of the league as the conferences 2 best teams square off on Tuesday. You must admit that it is funny that the #4 seed Trimble got destroyed by the #5 seed Symmes Valley. How did Trimble get seeded ahead of Symmes?????

Agree with eaglesnest. SOC is stronger from top to bottom. Im definitely not bragging up the SOC. Not one of its stronger years. Very even top to bottom though and the boys of Beaver getting through with no loses. Go Eagles!

Fed was up and down this year. On a given night I think they could beat the best the SOC has. But they could lose to the worst in the SOC too. Trimble got the better seed due to politics. But when it is a 4 and a 5 is there really any diff? I don't think you can base how good a team is by how much they lose by all the time though. And in the TVC teams sometimes have close games at home due to the officiating the home team gets, if you know what I mean?
Re: SOC VS TVC
green and clay weren't very good this year. the only good soc1 team is eastern beaver and maybe symmes valley. i don't know much about the tvc but i know eastern reedsville is good and maybe racine southern. what about the bigger divisions of both leagues, how do they compare?

Never said they were, but they were definately better than Trimble, Waterford, Miller, and certainly could play with Fed Hock and Southern (don't know about Reedsville as I haven't seen them this year. I believe Reedsville beat Eastern Pike by 4 in Sect. final last year?)

Re: SOC VS TVC
The tvc hocking had three teams play in the district championship last year. Most years the hocking sends at least two teams to the district so I think they hold their own in southeastern Ohio. A 2 seed Beaver Eastern beat a 7 seed Waterford, who gave them a pretty good game, wasn't the 2 seed suppose to win this game? A 4 seed Trimble got beat by a 5 seed Symmes Valley, all you read is how they were seeded wrong, not much difference in 4 and 5 you still are going to play the same team either way. I saw where a 7 seeded East beat a 2 seed in Green and you don't hear a word about it. I guess looking at the seeding they pretty much did it by team records and that is pretty much what you have to go on. As far as what conference is better, does it really matter? The only thing that matters is which team is better and going to advance on. Good luck to the tvc.

I agree George about last season. The TVC Hocking was better than the SOC last season. After seeing many of the teams this year though, I believe it is NOT stronger this year...especially the mid to lower level teams. Again, just 1 fans opinion.

Re: SOC VS TVC
I think the SOC is stronger..Eastern,Symmes Valley are about even with Eastern Meigs and Southern.I also think East and Green would handle any teams in the TVC with the exception of the 2 mentioned.East is much better than there record shows as they just got a good player back from injury and the Garret boys can light it up!

Re: SOC VS TVC
This arguement may get decided tomorrow night as the two top teams from each league square off as Symmes Valley takes on Eastern Reedsville and Southern takes on Eastern Pike. If one league sweeps the other, I believe that would be the deciding factor. With that being said, Good Luck to both Symmes Valley and Eastern Pike tomorrow night. Represent the SOC well!!
Re: SOC VS TVC
SV and Eastern are NOT the top 2 teams in the SOC....but the top 2 teams in the SOC 1.

Chicken Coop, I believe that is what this topic is referring too. Just the best teams in the smaller divisions of the SOC and the TVC. If you wanted to add the bigger divisions of each conference as well. I will take SOC2 hands down in the bigger divisions.

Re: SOC VS TVC
no need to argueabout this. the SOC1/TVCH will be decided tonight at wellston HS. as for TVCO/SOC2, there is no comparison, its the SOC2 and its not close. (and i am a TVC person).
