I have seen so many topics started:

SEOAL vs SOC
TVC vs SOC
SHL vs SOC-hasn't been started yet but the shl fans seem to dislike the soc as well.

Because the SOC is the best league! People all ways call out the Best!!

There is a dramatic difference in the SOC I and the SOC II...I think in all fairness you can't classify the SOC as one entity, because the SOC II is pretty tough this season

I think most of the topics have been started by posters from the SOC.

because the SOC2 is the superior conference.

How many state champions have come from the SOC II recently?

I haven't said a word good or bad about the SOC

maybe someone from south webster can correct me if i'm wrong but i think they made it to the regional finals 3 straight years

Perfect example of an answer to the thread's question.

But that is the kind of posts that I have been reading in regards to the soc, saying that the teams would be bottom feeders and mid majors, never to actually compete for a league title in another conference. If you are basing your statment of your conference is better than another conference because someone said your conference sucks is just stupid.

When they stop talking about you, then you know you are in trouble. Enjoy the success. Wheelersburg is always good and Oak hill and South Webster have enjoyed small school success as well. I believe the SOC is a very good conference.

No, you're right...here's a quick rundown of those 4 great years of SW's tournament success...

03-04 Reg. Finals- SW advances to first Final 4 in school history with a tremendous OT win over state-ranked #5 Mansfield St Peter's...probably the best game I've ever been to....

O3-04 State Semis- SW defeated by Holgate on a buzzer beating 3 pointer from a kid who hadn't scored all game...ripped the hearts out of 3/4 of the arena that day....Holgate goes on to win State Championship...

04-05 Reg Finals- SW defeated by #1 Africentric...Jeeps gave the Nubians their best contest of the tournament...IMHO SW probably wins state this year if they hadn't ran into this team... Africentric goes on to win State Championship...later stripped of championship because of an ineligible player...regional final trophy goes to the Jeeps...

05-06 Regionals- SW defeats Plymouth & Worthington Christian easily...advances to State for the 2nd time in 3 years...

05-06 State Semis....closest game of the tourney against Lockland...Jeeps come back from down 4 at half time...tie it at the end of 3...and win by 3 to advance to 1st State Championship in school history...

05-06 State Finals- Jeeps MAN-HANDLE Columbus Grove 83-65...win 1st State Championship in school history...

06-07 Reg. Semis- Nobody really expected SW to make it far in the tournament...Jeeps give Harvest Prep all the want & actually led at halftime by several...turnovers in 2nd half allow HP to come back...Harvest Prep wins and finishes State-runner up...

Wasnt it 07-08 little old WESTERN went to the elite 8!

I think the SOC is a great league and would love to see my Trojans and Ironton in that league but it will never happen....too bad----wipalawalt

Looks like the TVC guys were picking on the SOC on the floor last night.
