Peebles Indians sectional champs

Post by TribeManiac10 »

Congrats on a hard fought win tonight Peebles! The Indians had contributions from almost everyone tonight and it really showed. Peebles was led by Blake Justice's 25 points(now at 1552 on his career). Good luck at the convo against a tough Valley team!

First trip to the convo since 2008, 5th trip in 10 years. Not too shabby

The tournament road just got easier. With Valley knocking off Portsmouth the matchup now should favor Peebles. Teams are similar with Blake and Andrew matching up with Yates and Utley. Neither team has a lot of size or depth. Should be a good game.

Valley's a VERY tough team, underrated all year. I agree that man-for-man it's a better matchup, but you don't fight the Valley Indians for EVERY second of the clock, you'll be sorry.

I agree Chitwood. Any time a team thinks the road just got easier is due for a rude awakening! Manchester proved that in the final game of the regular season...Tourney time is never easy. Keep working hard Indians!

The one thing in tournaments that make a deep tournament run possible is for things to fall into place and face teams that you match up better with. That is why making a deep run is not just about skill but a lot of luck too. Yes you have to be a talented team to get very far ,but certain teams match up better with certain teams than others. If you can get all of the teams you match up better with to win ahead of you, you have a great shot to go a long way. But again that is part of the luck factor.
