Re: Chesapeake @ Southern ?
I was scheduled to do this game but need to rest my legs for eaterns deep run in the tourney. So i have asked Scotty Dale Wolfe and Dennis Teaford to step in and work the game. The guys at the downtown athletic club will need to forward the "cheaters check" to those guys if southern wins.

I think it is a great move by these two programs.
What do you get out of practice this time of year?
Stay sharp by playing and being competitive.
So, they must not have played all 20 of their games?

Haapens all the time due to weather. Plus helps keep you motivted, happened back in 86 and i am sure in other years
Re: Chesapeake @ Southern ?
Helps keep u healthy by not playing. Oh well we dont make those decisions and probably a good thing. You could argue both ways. Any way i heard this game was a confidence booster for the tornado kids. Not so much for the Peake. Pull it together Peake! Sunday is almost here!

Re: Chesapeake @ Southern ?
Final was 61-50. SHS had the ball down 5 with a minute to go and missed a 3 that ended up resulting in a lay-up for Peake at the other end and it was over after that. I think it was good for both squads with both having a week between tourney games to play a quality opponent before their next game. I know Southern got to play a couple of younger kids quite a bit due to an injury and illness of two senior players who did not play. Hopefully Southern gets the seniors back, but either way, good experience for the sophomores who will be needed to play quality minutes next week. Best wishes for both teams at the CONVO.
Re: Chesapeake @ Southern ?
Yeah, thats the score I got. Peake had a few kids down with the flu too. Hope they get better. Both should do good at the convo. Best of luck.

I didn't see Peake's Lindsey in the Ironton paper's stats. Did he play or was he one of the sick ones? I can't imagine a senior not playing unless something was wrong.
