I had to wait overnight until I got over the loss to Racine Southern - an EXCELLANT program by the way - because I just didn't want the season to end yet!

Like the Portsmouth Times stated today, this season could be the biggest turnaround for a program in the state this year. From 4-18 to 18-5. WOW!! You should all be proud of your accomplishments!

I want to express my heartfelt thanks for the work you young men did this year. You represented South Webster basketball with pride and dignity this season. I know the last 2 years have been tough for you and the rest of Jeep nation - the Houston chapter is stronger than ever by the way - and there were a lot of fans of our opponents who were gleefully enjoying our two year downfall. But you young men redeemed South Webster basketball and let everyone know that we aren't going away!! With Coach Ater now at the helm, you young men just work hard and believe in his system, and the future will be incredible.

I hate losing our two seniors. They have been great assets to the program. You younger kids can learn a lot from their dedication to the program, especially when things were looking bleak the last two years. They stuck it out. We have a strong nucleus for next year and beyond, so keep up the good work and next year we can take that next step.

Agreed. Looking forward to next season already. Looks like there might some really good players in the Jr High wing too. Just make sure to drink the Aterade and bring home the W.

What a great season! Relative to expectations, this might have been the most successful basketball team South Webster has ever put on the floor. I enjoyed going to the games this year and am looking forward to next year already!

Jeep pride is village wide .... and will always be no matter what kinda season we have! It's been a great year boys; Keep up the hard work!!!!

Nice post jeep80!! Very proud of our boys. Some of them could have left for greener pastures but they remained true to their home and really turned things around. I think Ater was just the spark that got them all fired up about the game again. The future looks bright. Wish you got to see more of the games tho!

Congratulations to the Jeeps and to Coach Ater for being named "Coach of the Year". The boys have played really hard and the hard work has paid off. I,too, am excited for next year. We hate to lose the two seniors, but know the other boys will step up to the challenge. The JV team also played well this year. Attendance has been good but SW has a great community pride and support the boys regardless. But next year, let's pack the gym and get the student section cheering also. What an exciting year and there's more to follow! GO JEEPS!
