It will be during the July 4 celebration weekend in Vinton County. Last year was the first year and it went pretty well..I think around 7 teams. Hoping for a couple more teams this year.

What are the rules for creating a team? For example..are teams separated by class or can you have a mixture of graduating classes on each team? Are the games played like a regulation game with time and fouls?

2 20 minute halves... regular high school rules for the most part.
Last year there was approx 7 teams so there wasn't enough to have 2 divisions. Originally there was supposed to be a division for those who graduated 1999 or before, and one for those who graduated 2000 or after. The main rule is that anyone who graduated 2000 or later can play together provided there isn't more than one year separation between graduating classes. For instance, let's say that a team has 5 guys from 2005, they could play with 2004 or 2006, but no other classes. Last year's winners was the 2008 class of Dustin Guthrie, Ben Batey, Andrew Eberts, Ryan Stewart, etc..... They also had Eric Henry from the 2007 class.

You're right about that. I went on a couple day golf trip with him a couple weeks ago and he's tighter then bark on a tree. He won't eat fresh either.....he's into cheap truckstop food with multiple entreys.
He's also been complaining that the upcoming varsity kids in open gym have been pimp slapping him around which annoys him also...but he loves guts!
Seriously hope that the there are a bunch of alums getting involved in tournament coming up. It's all part of the Viking tradition.

The dates are now set for the Alumni Tournament. The major change, this year, is that the tourney will be on Friday, July 2 and Saturday, July 3 (last year it was Saturday-Sunday). Games will begin on Friday night at 5PM. Anyone interested in playing should contact Matt Combs.

Do you need to create a team before you come or do you just show up and get placed on a team in your age bracket? Also, what is the cost per person or team, and how many people per team?

How many teams are they gonna have this year? This is always a great tourney. If the Dut & Co. get a team together, the rest of the field will be playing for 2nd.
