Well now that this season is over, and Eastern being the dominate team in the league, whats next year look like. Teams to beat, players to watch?

I think it will come down between Belpre and Eastern for the Hocking title next year. Southern will still be in the mix

And they have the Little General at the helm. Have heard things said like, ...finally a we have a basketball coach... and ...now we are not just a football school... Apparently fans were not happy with the last few basketball coaches they had?

You just wait and see next year will be the season of purple in the Hocking. My Does will finally get that TVC camel off their backs and make a deeeeeeep tourny run like the last two years. You just wait, Belpre and Wahomer wont no waht hits them when the Does come to town.

I would not count out the Federal Hocking Lancers.
This years Fed Hock JV team beat Eastern twice, Southern twice, and split with Belpre...
While they will only return 1 starter from this year, Ryan Rex, the Lancers have some nice talent coming up!!!
The guards will most likely be Jon Skidmore, Shawn Parsons, and Brent Deter. The Lancers also have a host of young BIG MEN who should all see some serious varsity time - Chris Saylor, Austin Russell, Tyler Hatfield and Max Carney!!!
Go Lancers....

Ryan Rex, Jon Skidmore, Chris Saylor, and Shawn Parsons all got significant playing time on Varsity in the Waterford games is that true for all of their games ?

As I recall, only Rex and Saylor played significant minutes on Varsity throughout the season...

Haze I think I might know you. Did you play football at Southern back in 96-97?

Im gonna go with Belpre to win the hocking. Even though they return a comlpetely different team from last year, i believe coach parsons will have them ready to go. defense will be the key for them as they already have a couple kids who can score at will

If Trimbles coach is as good as advertised then they should run away with the Hocking. Everything was put in place last year for several great seasons.

I look for Wahama to be the team to beat, then Belpre. Southern will tough too. Also dont get mad Eastern fans but the eagles will not be the team they were this year. They will lose to much fire power and will be lucky to be in the top 5.

Not in order Wahama, Belpre, Southern, Fed Hock, and then Eastern. I said they would be lucky to be in the top 5. I didnt say the wouldn't be in the top 5. Eastern had a good year with a very good senior class. But there is no way in the world they will have a team that good next year. Thats what happens to small schools. Me being a Rebels fan we are in the rebuilding period right now. The Rebels had huge success a few years ago and now they are down. The upcoming juniors have a very strong class so we'll see how they turn out next year.
