I have followed them all summer it's been hit and miss in summer league and shoot outs with kids working and vacations they very, very young but bring a different type of basketball to latham than they are used to seeing they have 3 or 4 legitament offensive threats strongest guard play since Mcloud and White was here not scoreing wise but just ball handleing wise there backcourt is young but quick with good handles should help the team cut tournovers down and push tempo they could be sleepers this year in a league that was smashed by graduation. Seen some other teams in our league this summer they to were short some key players but if a team isn't prepared for a all out war western is going to beat them.

I would say Klay Park will be their go-to man this season. I really hope they can cope with losing height from an already struggling team. I have not had the chance to see them play this summer but look forward to their matchup with Peebles during the regular season.

Yes Klay is the leader he has really worked hard this summer and with our style of play they should be fun to watch very young though coach Kight and the team will have some growing pains early I'd say but if our young biggs rebound there position they should do ok in the s.o.c. The league is probably weaker than it's been in several years alot of young teams but by the end of the year youth will be served in our league and hopefully a couple will make some noise come tourney time.

Ya he's on the team western should be fun to watch decent guard play with Colton lightle, Colton Ross and a commity of other helping at the point they will lean on the leadership of Clay Parks and Bruce Knauff and with Park, Robert Russel,Ross, Satterfield, and throw in Lightle ,Grooms, Wessel, they should score some points and play good deffense they are yound but a close knit bunch who will realy improve as the season progreses Guillkey, and Knauff are two of the best on ball deffenders in the league hopefully they will follow the work habits of last years group who's recited wasn't indicative of the effort they put in and be able to capitalize on the overal youth in the league

Well can't wait to see the boys hit the floor this year alot of youth on the team mostly guards so should be uptempo most of our bigs are young lots of shooters to spread the floor and pretty deap with ball handlers boys play hard deffenes and can score in several ways there not very tall but they are very fast going deffense to offense should put alot of pressure on other teams biggs in transition and hopefully get them in foul trouble and us to the line for some foul shots. Overall the league doesn't have a clear cut favorite so should be an exciteing season

I love western basketball. Cant wait for it to get here. However if we win 3 or 4 games we have overachieved. NO bigs, no guards other than satterfield and he is a head case. Hope I am dead wrong. But to think they could compete for a soc championship is absolutley crazy.

I think were ok at guard with Ross, Lightle, and Park all helping out the area I see us struggleing is rebounding although Brian may played in a few summer league game and when on the floor he played better than I have ever seen him play and I have watched him all threw school he makes us a different team cause it allows a player to leak out on the break putting pressure on the deffense to get back and it realy open the floor for park and the boys to penatrate but as far a satterfield goes he'll get it together he's a smart kid .But I think we will be fine at guard Ross played well I think in limited time at varsity last year and Lightle has a good handle and brings some offense to help as well but were young so we have to cross our fingers and hope we can win the ones at home and steal a couple on the road.

I think the boys are going to suprise some teams this year I think they are getting in shape and really jelling as a team leaders stepping up and helping the younger kids learn how to get the FOX HOLE mentality they need to be succesful.

Satterfield is probably the most well rounded player on the team. Can score when he wants and can pass well. Head case kinda, just needs to work on his temper management..

Not till the season starts there is only about 3 returning players and all but one was a sophmore last year and this year the bulk of the players are young only 2 seniors and park is the only one of those that gets major minutes
