Latest varsity roster for the 2010-2011 Tigers:

# Player Position Height Class
10 Malcolm Morton G 5’ 10” 12
20 Nolan Johnson G 6’ 1” 11
21 Travis Elliott F 6’ 2” 12
30 Zac Carter G 5’ 10” 10
32 Josh Murphy C 6’ 4” 12
34 Josh Glover G 5’ 11” 10
42 Trevor White F 6’ 4” 10
44 Trey Fletcher F 6’ 5” 10
45 Nick Culbertson C 6’ 4” 10

Football injuries appear to have cost us the services of a couple of others - Dion Brown and Michael Lawless.

Michael Lawless quit basketball last year so I doubt that it is the football injury keeping him from playing basketball.

I do not understand why the official Ironton High School website does not yet have the BASKETBALL schedules posted. Those schedules have to have been completed some time ago.
Who's responsible for maintaining and updating the Tigertown site?? Just do it!!

Hate to see that roster change pembrook. Tommy is a great kid along with being a gifted shooter and was certaintly poised for a big season. This will certainly hender what was IMO and many others a potential final four team.

I have to agree with Cag, I was told last year there was a software problem and the head computer guru was working on it........well I was told the same thing this year so I think it is time to find either a new pooter with new software or a new computer guru who is capable of keeping the website up and current with all schedules......

From what I have been told Tommy decided not play this year! I have also been told he is not the only student in the halls that decided against playing this year! Tommy will definatley be missed and needed this year come tournament time! I will miss watching him play, along with Lawless, who said would not of played with or with out injury! Having a son who scrimmaged this team, felt they could use leadership on the team and will definately be missing Tommy's leadership on the court, plus his three's! He did a great job this football season hate he cannot play basketball...(but def. as the opposing team, I like he's not playing)Hate he not playing for the young man sake! From what I have been told by my Ironton crew, players weighed the olds between playing the game and being put under scrutiny and misery or simply not playing..many chose not to play! I think all coaches need to realize the importance their position and behavior has and can effect a player!

You dont have a clue blue........I doubt very seriously you have talked to anyone from the team......and Lawless cannot play as he is facing surgery in the near future.......get your facts straight before you get on here running your mouth about something you dont have a clue about.......

Loe--I do know what I am talking about as do a lot of other tiger fans!
lawless and Wags both quit last year for the same reason...Wags decided to not return this season do to the same conditions...Wilks came out for a couple days! Gues what he is gone now too....For the same reasons! Seems to be a pattern going on with the good quality kids...all I am saying wish things could be fixed and worked out to wear all could play, relax, and enjoy! I am ware basketball is an intense sport, but not punishing! That is the facts, ask any kid in the hallway! Or in my case previous experience!
