What are your thoughts?

I think Eastern beat them pretty bad last season. How will this years game turn out?

I will say Eastern by single digits.

I'm not making excuses for last year Eastern came ready to play, however Minford did have an off night.

This year's game should be a good one. The Falcons are very physical (all five starters also started on the fooball team). If they can prevent from getting overly aggresive and stay out of foul trouble, I think their defense will be too much for Eastern to handle.

Eastern by 3. Should be close game all the way threw.

Are we getting any radio coverage tonight since other pike county teams aren't playing, or does one of the scioto co stations have it?

Updates or stats after the game if anyone has them would be appreciated

Eastern won tonight by 12. I believe it was 54 to 42. Someone post the correct score if I'm wrong. Very physical game tonight, could tell Minford recently got out of football season. Also could tell the it was the first game of the year for both teams. A lot of sloppy basketball during parts of the game. Eastern had a decent size lead for most of the game. The guards played very well tonight for eastern and good play from their bigs as well. Minford cut it to 6 at one point during the third, but that was as close as minford got for the remainder of the game. Eastern could have pulled away at the end, but kept giving Minford chances by missing free throws. If they shoot that poorly the rest of the season, their bound to lose a game due to free throws. Overall it was a good game and solid effort from both teams. Minford played well in spurts, just couldn't put it all together tonight. Eastern travels to Valley next.

Caught the end on the Radio and they said the final was 57-44. Sounds like if they hit their foul shots it would have been more like 18-20 point win. Anyone stand out for the Eagles? How did Lands and Pickett do?

Good win (even if it is early) by the Eagles over an SOC2 school.

Chad Lands seems to have improved alot as a player, he should be our true point guard this year, tough player, also, I really wanted to see Satterfield play more than he did, if he improves with the Eastern style of basketball, he can be a dominate player, Congrats to coach Fitch and the eagles, Next stop, Valley, Good luck EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Satterfield is eligible to play this year? If so, that is great for the young man and I wish him the best.

chad is a very good player and good young man! glad to hear he has improved...i know he works hard!

Satterfield was a solid young guard in the games I saw him play last year. Hopefully he improves on that and can add some quality athletic ability and shooting to the Eagles. Two things a team can never have too much of. JMO
