RV played a hard fought game and was able to take advantagwe of NY's mistakes. The Buckeyes have to do a better job of taking care of the ball. To many careless passes. At times NY would fall apart on D. Ny should have won this game by 10 points at least. RV never quit and they deserve this hard fought come from behind over time win.

In the first boys varsity basketball game at the renovated Ben Wagner Gymnasium in Buchtel, River Valley beat Nelsonville-York 71-67 in overtime. The Raiders were led by the 24 points of Dominique Peck, who was absolutely stellar down the stretch. Casey Cox (17 points) paced Nelsonville-York, which led for nearly all of regulation. The Hardwood Heroes game recap will be up shortly.
